Manchester United vs. Everton

What were people expecting, that we suddenly signed three midfielders in between the Spurs game and tonight?

Stop bloody moaning!

 It's sad that 3 of those 4 are probably our best available options for this game, yet it would hardly cut it for relegation fodder.

Yeah, Fulham would hate to have Valencia, Fellaini and Welbeck. Valencia was shite for Wigan and Fellaini truly terrible for Everton.

Why won't he play Nani AND Valencia like he did against Leverkusen. It's baffling.

 Aye, weird to see people shocked by this. It's like Moyes has Fabregas on the bench but is choosing to play Fellaini instead.

What did Welbeck do to deserve 2 starts in a row? He was pretty much a non entity on sunday, penalty aside.

No doubt Kagawa will end up out left again as the game goes on.

Feck, Welbeck is left wing officially. The guy had it right.

Don't be surprised at all now to see a disjointed side if Welbeck doesn't stay on the fecking wing. Him coming inside in the first 10-15 when Kagawa was clearly supposed to be there ruined our whole play, and forced Moyes to put him there and push Kagawa out wide. Januzaj and nani on the bench though so at least the option is there to take him off when he plays like shit.

Nani - Cleverley - Giggs - Januzi

That would have been far far better.

He won us a penalty, so? He was leaving us exposed down the left all game because he's not a left winger, and neither is Kagawa.

I'm saying as a group. Valencia Giggs Fellaini and Welbeck in your midfield? It's awful. They'd all love to have them individually, but as a group, it's embarassing to see United put out a midfield that bad.

I think Kagawa will be on the left, otherwise it makes completely no sense to start Welbeck.

The only one there who would be an improvement is Januzaj, or Nani on the left for Welbeck.

Cleverley is no better than Fellaini.

Everton: Howard, Oviedo, Distin, Jagielka (c), Coleman, McCarthy, Barry, Pienaar, Barkley, Mirallas, Lukaku.

McCarthy, Barry, Barkley. I can see Barkley and Mirallas causing us endless problems with their pace, especially Barkley is a good bet to walk through out midfield :nervous:
Valencia against Oviedo should be key for us, let's hope he has a better end product than on Sunday against Spurs.

Other then winning the penalty that got us a point..

I thought he played ok for 30 mins after he was moved centrally until he tired.

If winning a penalty is just cause for a start then we'd rather play Young.

Maybe I'm just being blindy optimistic, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how we do, and I feel quite confident. May largely depend on which Ryan Giggs turns up. Kagawa getting a third consecutive game in the hole can only be a good thing. Welbeck to get a goal, feck da haterz.

I'll give it 20 minutes before he's shunted out there.

Also, is it true that we haven't won this season in the league when Van Persie was out? If so....feck.

Urgh, me too. We looked sharp in those first 10 minutes against Spurs. Then the ever-clinical Danny Welbeck switched with Kagawa, and we looked toss again.
Revisionism at it's finest, that.. We switched it because we were shit. We then continued to be shit.

Cleverley is no better than Fellaini.

I'd take Cleverley over Fellaini every day of the week.

At least Cleverley can actually move.

At least we have options on the bench to turn the game around. First sub around the 80th minute mark then.

Get in lads, it's obvious that there are going to be some rotations now, not surprised Jones is not playing as he's played both Spuds and Leverkusen and after Cleverley's recent performances it's no biggie either. Welbeck seems to be Moyes' favourite player I'd say, always praising him a lot so not surprised either. Glad Rafael's back.

Nah it's more of why on earth is Welbeck starting again. Either he plays on the wing and does poorly as usual there, or he forces Kagawa to play there and do poorly as usual (on the wing). If thats the case then we see one of the worst finishers in our squad as the striker. It's a lose-lose playing him there.
Everything is as good as it gets (sadly).

Fulham would love to have them, even as a group.

Stop exaggerating.

Our strongest side apart from Oviedo but hopefully he can build on the Stoke performance. Really big game for people like Barkley and Lukaku, to show they can perform on the biggest stage.

The Welbeck preferential treatment continues I see.

Anyway, the defence we have out tonight is what I believe to be our best so that's good to see.

That midfield

Let's hope Giggs has one of those "feck me how does he keep doing this?" games. And I don't mean hitting the first man with his corners every time.

I doubt it, sure individually they're far better then anything they have, but only Valencia is in his proper position there. Even for relegation fodder, you want players who can run around a lot, not a 40 year old and Fellaini who doesn't move, and then a striker on the wing who can't finish.

Yup I agree with Welbeck not deserving to start this game after Spurs, but the rest of the team looks fine to me. It's just not a good midfield with Carrick out and Moyes has to work with what he has.

Time to step up, Microphone Man...

Also, how is it in this day and age that so many haven't grasped the basic fact that the greatest human ever is suspended?
