Manchester United vs. FC Basel

Berbs and Owen just played 2 90 minutes, basically. Not surprised we've gone with fresh legs (Welbeck)/needing games (Giggs/Carrick/Fabio).

Very good team, pleased with this. Might have a bit of a problem with converting chances but we should create more than enough.

I hope it will be a 4-3-3 indeed, not a 4-4-2 with Young or Giggs as the second striker.

4-5-1 against Basel at home in the CL, when we have so many strikers who need game time?

Pathetic if you ask me.

Young is playing as a second striker just like he played for Villa last season.

You'd think we'd have most of the ball against Basel at home so it doesn't really matter how many conventional strikers we play because there will always be bodies forward.

Point still stands.

Owen and Berbatov has started 2 games in last week or so, they don't need much game time right now. Danny does as he's coming back from injury. Macheda and Diouf are probably not good enough right now to start CL Matches when we need a win.

People here just like to have a moan at everything without even thinking.

It doesn't really matter.

It's a very fluid formation.

Giggs, Young, Valencia and Welbeck can play all over the place.

EVen someone like Jones, supposedly playing right back, will probably end up playing every position on the park.

Jones is playing center back mate, Fabio is at right back.

No Nani is disappointing but it's a good team, and he'll be playing a fair few matches internationally in the next few weeks.

It's a very attacking line up, so no idea why anyone is slating the team for it's none inclusion of strikers.

You got a front four of Welbeck, Young, Giggs and Valencia with Anderson supporting from midfield and two highly attacking full backs and two ball playing centre backs.

Carrick's in the centre to add some balance but that side is full of attacking talent.

I'd have played Berbatov as I think he's to good a player to marginalise like this when Rooney and Hernandez are both injured but the side itself is a very good one.

Berbatov will start against Norwich, precisely because Hernández and Rooney are injured.

RK, you're welcome:

How come Ferguson has no issues with slinging two up front against the likes of Chelsea, but shits himself when it comes to CL group stage games against the likes of Basle and Bursaspor, despite at the same time always resting our most in form players?

It's like he's deliberately trying to make the CL group games as shit as possible.

Another tedious momentum stopping 1-0 win/0-0 draw coming up then.
