Forget Vidic, Evans and Fletcher would've made a massive difference to that defence. Much more discipline. Carrick was unusually poor positionally, he's never been the best to win the ball.

Jones, Fabio, and Evra were all over the shop. Even Rio was off, but he's not played recently so I'll forgive him. One of the worse defensive performances for a long time. If you keep swapping around your back four though, I suppose that it's inevitable.

Dont wanna complain too much, it was an entertaining game of football. but it was basel ffs, they shouldnt get a look in. we could very easily have lost this. their finishing was only bettered by our defending when it came to being shite at it. We need to improve massively. been evident since the chelsea game tbh. Vidic cannot come back sooner.

yeah, I've been crying out for one for a few seasons, to be honest...but a run of good results seems to paper over the cracks.
The Park criticism is a bit harsh, he won and lost the ball for the short period he was on ... Anderson and Carrick struggled to win anything, lost the ball quite a bit too.

Not sure what type of midfielder though. I'm not seeing the same lack of fluidity in our midfield that was there last season. Anderson is doing it really well as was Cleverley. But we are very open at the back. So maybe we need a defense minded midfielder as opposed to the playmaker that most wanted.
playing in midfield means you should find a teammate with a pass. park was dire tbh. could not pass for love or money. really poor performance however you want to paint it. kept losing possession everytime he got the ball.
giggsy switched off in the 2nd half but carrick was much better than both of them imo.
only good thing tonight is Shitty lose.....thank feck we didn't as well.
