Manchester United vs. Fulham

Will Rooney start or be on the bench? Thats the major question. Its just so good to know he is back ahead of schedule again.

Hopefully he starts and United batter them so SAF can take him off a little after the half and rest him

Not this time I'm afraid :( We really need Rooney back, we've been pretty toothless up front in the 3 games without him

Team I hope to see......

GK: VDS

RB: Brown
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Ronaldo
CM: Hargreaves
CM: Anderson
LM: Giggs

I'm going with a 2-1 win to us, Ronaldo to score for us because he always scores against Fulham

would be great to see that line-up. Wouldnt mind carrick instead of hargreaves though, he played well against sporting.

Rooney looks likely to face Fulham on Monday night after sufficiently recovering from a twisted ankle.

Sir Alex Ferguson revealed that his main striker, who was injured in a training ground accident earlier this month, has been back in full training ahead of the Cottagers' visit.

"Wayne has been training terrifically and his fitness levels are good," the United manager told his weekly press conference at Carrington.

Prior to his injury, Rooney was in fine goalscoring form, having bagged eight goals across seven consecutive matches during October and November.

Wayne's recovery means that only long-term absentees Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Ji-sung Park, Ben Foster and Mikael Silvestre should be unavailable for selection against Lawrie Sanchez's side.

Sanchez reveals plan of attack for United
by Joseph Caron Dawe, 29 November 2007

Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez has announced his game plan for the clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday: attack.

United are unbeaten in seven home games in the league this season and Sanchez knows his side, who have only taken maximum points on two occasions so far in their current campaign, will be firm underdogs when they make the trip north to play Sir Alex Ferguson’s side in front of the Setanta cameras.

"If you sit back against United then you are likely to get what you deserve," Sanchez said frankly.

"You have to go and make a game of it. You might get beaten but at least you are having a go at it.”

The Cottagers have failed to close out games in which they have taken the lead in this season, the most recent case being the 2-2 draw with Blackburn on Sunday when they were twice pegged back to eventually settle for a point.

Despite his team’s apparent misfortune Sanchez believes they have to go to United’s home and take the game to the current Premier League champions, otherwise they will be set upon.

"It is a Catch 22 situation with the big four,” continued Sanchez. “Teams go to those clubs to defend, more often than not. But they then get beaten, because once a goal goes in you have no other option than to go and attack.

"Then you get opened up even more, and lose by more goals.

"The fact is that United have a terrific home record, but if you don't go there with some ambition then you tend to leave with very little.

"We will attempt to go there and have a go."

Probbaly talking out his arse and they're actually gonna flood midfield and sit deep.

But if they do go at us, and try to beat us at our own game, then fair fecking play but it'll be moy-dah, I tell ya, MOY-DAH!!

I can't wait to see the reunion of the Tevez/Rooney partnership.

If they do they are absolutely fecked! We will over run them with out a problem. Even if they score can seeus getting atleast 4 if they come to attack us.

I personally would play Roon for the first half and get the job done and then get him off. But i think SAF will do what most managers will do and do it the other way round. Bring him on for Saha with about half an hour left.

I'd much rather see Carrick and Saha start ahead of Hargreaves and Tevez. Rooney won't play all 90 mins and Tevez can come off the bench. Saha needs to play a full game.

2-0 Ronaldo, Ronaldo.

So Saha needs games? Then lets try that one out:

Will never happen though. But would be interesting to see that. Way too offensive, i know, but interesting, me thinks^^.

That will be it. Probably SAF starts Nani and Carrick instead of Giggs and O.H. but i lets see.

Im sitting in the Quadrant on Monday, on a corporate jobby... its all free with food, and beer chucked in.

There's 3 of us and were planning on getting absolutely wankered courtesy of Uncle Malc! Cheers!

Bastards! ;)

I start work at 7 - take a few hours time owed to get on the 13.15 coach - at OT, wander around in the freezing cold whilst trying to find some food, can't drink too much because when I get off the coach about 2 am. I've got a drive home.

Still I should be able to make it into the Bishop before an evening game.
