Manchester United vs. Fulham

To be honest I expect a comfortable win with the way we are playing Fulham being in Italy late on a Thursday then travelling to Manchester. They won't be used to it at all, should work massively in our favour.

Use some puncuation in that first sentence you spastic.

Dempsey is making his return for Fulham -has come on as a sub with 30 min to play. I think he gives Fulham a big threat and also Murphy has been sitting out due to the retarded red card he got, so will have at least 1 pair of fresh legs.

If Fulham play anything like they are doing tonight when they play us then we should destroy them.

The question is, will we go 442 or 451?

Has to be 4-4-2 for this one, surely, Fulham are a decent side but at Old trafford against them we should be attacking them from the off without question, theres only a handful of teams in the world we should be lining up 4-5-1 against at home frankly.

Plus i want revenge, they humiliated us, kicked us when we were down and had no defence, i say batter the feckers!! 4-4-2 all the way, Berbatov and Rooney up top Valencia and Nani/Giggs on the flanks and Carrick Fletcher in the middle.

They only beat us 3 - 0 in the reverse because we had Carrick and De Laet as our centre-backs.

Oh and we were a bit shit.

Win at least 4-0 guys :) Rooney and 'tov show. Maybe Obertan will be on the bench, I dunno.

Can we somehow give Evra a rest please? Like for this one game? I know he's Jesus Christ and all, but Jesus doesn't work midweeks.

Hope we'll continue running on revenge mode. Ful-fecking-ham. 5-0, Rooney x3, Berbatov, Carrick.

My line up

VDS
Rafael, Rio, Vidic, Evans
Valencia, Carrick, Fletcher, Nani
Berbatov, Rooney

Subs: TK, Neville, Evra, Giggs, Park, Gibson, Diouf

Hopefully Giggs gets a run out. Really think Evra needs a break. I doubt we'll give him one.

Team should be...

GK: VDS

RB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Valencia
CM: Fletcher
CM: Carrick
LM: Nani

CF: Rooney
CF: Berbatov

Subs: Foster, Neville, Evans, Scholes, Gibson, Park, Diouf

Comfortable 3-0 win, Rooney, Berbatov & Valencia scoring

We've got a full week between this and the Liverpool game. Plenty of time for recovery.

Play the best team available, plenty of time for rest after this game.

Van der Sar
Rafael - Ferdinand (c) - Vidic - Evra
Valencia - Carrick - Fletcher - Nani
Rooney - Berbatov

Harsh on Park and Scholes, but I think both of them will start against the dippers.
I reckon Fulham will make it difficult for us to score by parking the bus and putting 10 men behind the ball. We should have enough to beat them though.

Seems to be a pretty strong agreement on what the team should be for this one.

Give Berbatov a run out, as well as Rafael & Park to help with their speed on the wings.

Aye. Everyone you listed there has picked the exact same team, the only position of any contention appears to be right back.

My vote goes to our club captain

As has been said, we have a full week after this game. That will be enough rest for Evra and co. If we look comfortable at half time or so, i would like to see Evans brought on to cover for Paddy, but only if the game is pretty much beyond doubt.

Carrick will play, having been suspended he should be pretty sharp now, Giggs may come on late in the game as an impact sub or if someone aint performing.

I expect we will start as 4-4-2 with Rooney/Berbatov, and Park will come on to replace one of them in the second half.

Fulham having played away in Europe last night (and being battered) will hopefully still be a bit tired, especially since they dont have as deep a squad as us, and their players wont be as used to midweek action - its the tail end of the season and having been in the Europa league they will surely be starting to feel a bit tired at this stage.

The game is ours for the taking, a good win will set us up well for the scousers, should hopefully be a comfortable victory.

Fulham are like lambs to the slaughter when they come to Old Trafford. More of the same please.

I remember when they beat us 3-1!...still you're right we've won every home game with them since with considerable ease.

I'm going for a 5-0 prediction...we'll be on a high, they'll be fecked.

revenge time that 3-0 loss hurts, hope we made them pay for it on sunday

I suspect SAF will put out a 'weakened' side. Wonder if the Premier League will fine him for doing so?

Why would Fergie put out a weakened side? We don't play for a week after the Fulham game and we need to maintain the pressure. Plus, Fulham shouldn't be overlooked. They are a decent team with a very good manager. Put out our best 11 and go out and hammer them!

REVENGE !!!!

Probably a nice thought to rest Evra for Evans, I also think Foster will be on the bench with the keeper rotation policy at work. Not sure Nani will start three in a row after 65 minutes for Portugal as well, it'll probably be Park.

Is Smalling allowed to play for Fulham?

why not, we don't sign him until the end of the season, hogson can picked him if he wants to.

Why would he do that? It's a week between games, key players were rested v Milan and even the ones that played the full 90 hardly had to run their sack off.

It will be a strong team. SSN reckon we'll go 433 again with Park in the middle and Rooney up top on his own supported by Nani and Valencia from the wide positions. I can't see anything other than 442 myself though.

I would agree, there was still a doubt over Berbatov, but if United were to go 4-3-3/4-5-1 Fergie will still probably add a bit of freshness.

I expect Rafael, Carrick, Berbatov probably for Neville, Scholes and Nani at least, and even with the week break I'd fancy maybe another player to come in for a bit of freshness or protect an injury. Evans for Evra is a decent outside bet. I'd give United an option if something were to happen to Evra before or during the Liverpool game.

No Giggs, so I guess Obertan on the bench but, the reserve match thread seemed to indicate he wasn't very convincing.

that's my pick but would like to see Park sitting on Murphy to keep the fecker quiet. I just think Fergie'll bench him for this though. He rarely picks the predicted side so expect the unexpected.

Park is more effective supporting Rooney than Berbatov is. I thik 433 suits our current team better than 422. It's more fluid, and Rooney plays better without a partner (see 30 goals this season!)

How many people are going to go to all the effort of typing out the team and formation they want before twigging their suggestions already been made 50 times already and a simple quote and 'this' would save them much time and effort.....

This

I was hoping I'd put all this behind me when I started wearing long trousers...

You have unrealistic expectations of the mains..... You're setting yourself up for a huge disapointment. :)

I didn't go to any trouble at all - just copied and pasted one that I agreed with
:)

It takes more effort to read through the thread looking for someone with the same lineup and formation as you than it does spending 20 seconds typing your own out.
