Youre getting two defeats there mixed up. He and rooney got sent off in a 2-0 defeat there and carrick and fletcher played in defence there in a 3-0 loss more recently.
I wouldn't play Ferdinand today if I was SAF, not worth the risk.
In the 2-0 loss he got sent off about 20 minutes in and in the 3-0 loss he cocked up and gave the ball to Danny Murphy for their opener.

I was taking the mickwhy ? I doubt he would of played anyway ,bench at best.
Because Fulham are a good side and the fixture's in between the CL games. And I think Rooney would have played, he almost never rest him, and also add that he's been out a lot this season because of injuries.
