Manchester United vs. Fulham

Rooney will be out for about 3 weeks I think. No big worry there with 3 quality strikers still available.

With Evans and Jones probably back next week, we can use Carrick in midfield.

with all the talk Dembele going to Real...may be why Fergie has said thats it for transfers.

Dembele is so, so good. Utter madness if we dont' sign him. He's everything we need.

Good win. Very good performances from Van Persie, Rafael, Kagawa, Anderson, Cleverley, Evra.

Dembele was quality. Problems of our own making though.
Fulham made mistakes too.. The red wouldve made things a lot easier for us.. Ref didnt want to give it for some reason.

No real concerns for me.. Defenders will be back for the next game. Carrick will be shielding them too. That aspect will be fine.

That's the main thing, I think. Having to play arguably our most effective midfielder from last season in defence hurts both our defence and midfield. We should hopefully look a lot tighter once we get Carrick back in midfield and a proper CB alongside Vidic.

Would have been gutting losing Rooney a season ago. Nice position to be in where we don't have to worry at all (apart from my dream team).

First hald was fantastic.

Can someone explain why Cleverley seemed to be left to play the second half all on his own? Did we not learn our lesson about this sort of twattery roughly 50 times in the last two years already?

The co commentator on my stream has criticised every save De Gea's made :wenger:

same here. de gea could do nothing right. when he pull out that skill at the end of the first half he said he got lucky. imagine joe hart doing that, they would be crying for joy.

need to see this injury, come on bros

Kagawa shouldn't have come off, the substitutions were really poor by Fergie. It felt as if he only wanted to give players minutes rather than let the team perform well.

If all goes well in europe, we might need kagawa for around 50 games this season.

SAF has to look at the bigger picture.

sign that beast please SAF, our defensive issues will be sorted soon - we have some decent players coming back. we could do with some steely presence in the midfield.

Right, I am stuck in Nigeria in the office, so am only going with here.

Were we really shit?
Was DDG shit?
Seems Kags is a star?
RVP's goal a screamer?

Give me a brief summary if poss?

We played some great football but after 55th minute we were kind of bad, they seemed to attack us at will. DDG made some good saves but he needs to work on his crosses a lot. Kagawa is the player of the season for us so far. RVP scored a fecking banger, crossed into the box and let it bounce once and ran to it and smashed it across goal on the half volley.

I'm getting pissed off with the way we keep not signing Dembele.

We weren't shit at all, specially in the first half. We got lackadaisical in the second half (as per), conceded an easy goal (own goal) which put us under a bit of pressure. DDG was class as always apart from the OG which was a lack of communication. Still learning though so stuff like that doesn't bother me. Kagawa was quality, just what we need. RVP's goal was great, tight angle, struck perfectly on the volley. Wouldn't call it a screamer, just quality technique.

Would also like to give props to Carrick but can't wait til he doesn't have to play in defence. Rafael also had a good game, up front anyway.

Ok, cheers. Sounds a bit like last season, but a bit better attacking football on show. I will get the GF to tape it on Sky tonight and watch it in 3 weeks when I get back.

That second half was a shambles. No control in midfield, Anderson is not the answer. SAF needs to get Jol into his office and fill him with loads of red wine and convince him to sell us Dembelle.

The red wouldve made things a lot easier for us.. Ref didnt want to give it for some reason.

Makes no sense to me, but it was weird that early in the game the pundits from whatever stream I was watching commented he gave a red in his last two and "would want to avoid three in a row".

Thought it was a ridiculous comment, then as he approached Hangeland his entire body language said EXACTLY that. "Oh shit! That would be a red... OK, I'll tick him off"

Not sure if it's been posted anywhere already but here's Bolt today with some old guy ;)

Decent performance from the lads a big improvement on the last match. Clearly we are not match fit as we lost some of the pace and cutting edge in the second half. Were it not for the mixup between de gea and Vida it would have been a comfortable victory.

Goals for both the new boys will only help with the process of gelling them into the team. Would like to see us not always rely on attacking from the right flank though. Kagawa and rvp need to be given the ball alot more because they are capable of creating through the middle and make us less predictable. Hopefully Rooney injury not too bad and he won't be out too long. We need to get the rvp/Rooney partnership going.

Dembele is the player with most similarities to Yaya Toure and I think that we should get him.

We played fantastically in the first half, Kagawa is becoming a star, Rafael was great, RVP scored a brilliant goal and DDG made a lot of saves. Vidic is not at his best form but I think that with the time going he will become the beast he was before the injury.

We need to kill teams and not transform into zombies when we are winning. It almost made us pay again.
