Manchester United Vs Manchester City.

We were very poor, of course, but this game reminded me of Liverpool's 4-1 win - a smash n' grab. In this case, us being reduced to ten men was an absolute godsend for City.

If you think this was a smash n' grab you're delusional! This has been coming look at performances against Stoke, Norwich and Liverpool. The team needed overhauled and we only did some window dressing. Decisions needs to be taken regarding Evra, Rio and Anderson. We need to get a settled defense and we need to make changes in CM.

Well hopefully that gives our players a kick in the arse they need...we got way too complacent after our great start to the season I think.

What a let down. Give the lot of them a good bollocking. A wake-up call was needed. We have lost our offensive sharpness over the past four-five games while the defence has been waiting for a catastrophe like today to happen. Granted, once Evans was sent off, the punishment for our risk-taking to come back into the game was far too punishing.

Feel sorry for our fans at OT. Never deserved this - let alone on a derby day.

City are miles ahead of us in midfield. Actually, they're ahead of us in every department but midfield is the widest gap. Terrible performance and City thoroughly deserved that scoreline.

Our fans were fecking shit today too. Pathetic.

United have better defenders especially when all fit. Keepers aren't far apart either - I prefer De Gea over Hart for sure.

City piss all over United's midfield however. Forwards are very close too.

Let's be honest, we all knew they were going to put 6 past us today.

Rio Ferdinand redefined the term embarrassing today. What one Earth was he up to at the end? Don't want to see him play the next game and I'm sure he won't.

Rooney and Welbeck were the only ones who looked like they cared.

Pretty sure that Fergie won't be resting Vidic again unless he's dead. The defending was shocking, headed by Rio... Smalling tried his best but he should hold back his willingness to attack when we're playing with 10 men and when he's in the center of defense. The rest of our defenders were shite. Our midfield was appalling, so slow on their feet and ball watching for the majority of time when City were attacking. Our wingers were pretty much taken out of the game by our slow playing, the same can be said about our forwards although I though Welbeck was alright compared to the rest of attacking players. Rooney was off but did battle to the end.

The worst thing about this game is that the players just stopped even trying, gave up... at OT and against City of all teams. No passion, no nothing. Worst game I've ever seen from United and for once we can't cry about the scoreline being unfair, it could have been 1-10. They were just much, much better.

you sounded pissed enough.... :)

Yes, I was serious. Spoony, someone ban this guy from Match day thread starting capabilities. We need his gods, but just not as a thread starter.
Last season I went on a campaign for that fecker VidaRed and look what he did in the CL final. I think I may have to do it myself...
My feck, I have finally gone crazy..,Or...

Well that was a buttfecking. Evans sending off kind of made it harder than it needed to be but we didn't create anything in that good spell we had in the first half, just no guile.

If you think this was a smash n' grab you're delusional!

Yes, I'm delusional. That possibly explains why I think that City were completely outplayed until the sending-off. And I must have imagined the vast, pampa-like spaces on the pitch for them to exploit afterwards.

In almost 60 years of watching United that's got to be the most embarrassing thing I've ever witnessed. Did that really just happen?

Is it really embarrassing though? We had three strikers on after going a man down. It could have gone either way really. Young had a chance to change the tone of the game and fecked it up. Can't blame SAF here. It will be just hypocrisy. He could have gone for damage control but was trusting his senior players to be discipline.
I am starting to lose faith in Rio.

feck it, I'm over our humiliation.... It's not as if we've had it bad as united fans over the last couple of decades...

To make a bad day even worse , I had to pick my wife from work and had to ave talksport on
I hate Stan Collymore , I want to peel the cnut and then roll him in salt.

He was like a man possessed in that commentary box.Really enjoying the defeat.

Were you watching the same game as the rest of us... City were better for the whole time (bar the first 15 or 20 minutes). Just because we held the ball more in the first doesn't make us better. They stayed back away against United which is smart and when they got the ball they attacked better. We really never got going and deserved everything we got. Fair play to those feckers at City, they were just miles and miles better.

this is one match.

Fergie is human. That is the proof of this.

But other than Rooney...who cared out there??

Welbeck, he really gave his all.

But the work at the end from Rio was really bad, we were limiting the damage and keeping the ball ok till he conceded that needless corner, and then there was utter mayhem after that.

Exactly, plus when you mull over certain facts about the match, it can fecking happen. Losing 4-1 to Liverpool was worse IMO.

His bitterness over Fergie signing Coley instead of him together with his Liverpool days make him so horrible to listen to.
