Manchester United Vs Olympic Lyon

Ben Arfa claims we are wobbly at the back:

"I have noticed the attacking potential at Man United is huge. But at the back, there are some gaps. We can really score goals against team. We have to go there with a lot of ambition."

Some might call this a stupid statement, considering we've conceded less (and from more games) than any other top division side in England, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Russia, Belgium, Turkey, Austria or Holland - the only exeption being Bayern Munich (who have only played 22 games, while we've played 28). We do prehaps seem a tad less sound in Europe, though. Also, the game takes place at Old Trafford, where we never ever concede. Almost.

What the feck? What is with players coming out and saying shit about our defence when we have a fantastic record this season. We have the best defensive partnership in the premiership in Rio/Vidic and have one of the best left backs in the world. If we manage a clean sheet, hopefully that will shut them up.

agreed.

Its all gona come down to Attitude and Menatlity at the end....

I can see one United team twating them 5-0 and another losing 0-1,hopefully the former team turns up...

I know Scholes-Hargreaves is probably everybodies prefered partnership but i'd like to know how many people wouldn't mind seeing Carrick-Flecther with Anderson further up like i do...

I will be shocked if United don't score in this one, the only score line they could lose from is if Lyon get 2 and United don't get three, but Lyon can't really defend so even if United come to play for a half I reckon they will get at least two

Those deluded cnuts really start to annoy me. It's always our boys who are honest and are always respectful and never underrate the other side, but players like that feckin cnut arent feckin able to do that.
We will see you in Vida's pocket tonight, little, deluded boy.

He tied Wes in knots when he came on in the last name. Hardly surprising he's giving it Billy Big Bollocks. Lyon are a serious threat going forward, make no mistake.

I fancy us to score more than them, mind you.

Queiroz is up for it......

link

United face a test of their European credentials at home to Lyon and Queiroz wants the players to take control of the game from the outset.

“I am going to ask my players to play much more risky football against Lyon than at Gerland,” he revealed. “I apologise to Lyonnais: Manchester United can’t exit the Champions League that early.”

I just got up for it too....great sleep.....now where did I put that rum....

:nervous:

Oh Christ. Not too risky, please...

Away goals. The most stupid (and most annoying) rule in modern football. God I hate them.

We will play our "best" team tonight. I'm interested in what Fergie rates as our "best" team.

As am I, it will be interesting who he favors on LW and throughout the CM, then also you have to wonder if he is gonna go 442 or 433

But he couldnt produce anything dangerous on the other hand, but of course I dont underrate them, they have a great attacking force, but to say that ManUtd are weak defensively is just bollox, and I really cant believe to hear those words from a professional.

Gotta say butterflies are creeping up into my stomach abit, butterflies or the squits who knows at this stage?

Squeeze your abdominals and then you'll know pretty quick:lol:

Takes the mick waiting for the game.

Even worse I don't have a clue what the team will be... the joys of having so many options.

who? wes brown?

He's the highest authority there is.
