Manchester United vs. Queens Park Rangers

Obviously this is a real possibilty aswell:

Code:
[center]Lindegaard

Rafael - Rio - Evans - Evra

Young - Scholes - Fletcher - Welbeck

Rooney - RvP
[/center]

Yeah, I have to say though, they're the last two players I'd expect SAF to drop. Interesting stuff.

Giggs also not even on the bench despite not playing against Gala midweek. Think he's also dropped. Bit happy with the lineup tbh.

Well since there was no mention of any injuries yesterday in presser. I think Valencia, Carrick have been dropped for poor performances which won't be a bad thing to do.

Considering he was probably our best player in midweek despite playing in defense - that seems a strange argument.

I'd imagine Young is playing on the right after looking at least remotely like a threat vs Norwich after switching sides.

It's no 4-3-3 KM, that's just absurd. It's:

Lindegard

Rafa
Rio
Evans
Evra

Young
Fletch
Scholes
Welbeck

Rooney

RVP

Sigh.. A two-man midfield with Carrick and Scholes is not working, you say? I know, let's throw in the man who looks even less match-fit than Carrick.

Seriously why does SAF do this? I mean, we'll probably get away with it, since we're playing QPR, but why deliberately play a severely weakened team with no important match fast upcoming? Is it a risk worth taking? I'm fecking tired of seeing the team sheet and just knowing that the match will be a terribly lethargic experience with no functional CM and just a long wait for our attackers to come up with something. feck me.

I think you're spot on. Good that we're trying something new IMO.

Don't think this is new at all. Its the same thing we've played all season except for Fletcher instead of Carrick. We'll definitely win today but frankly that team leaves alot to be desired.

Fletcher was the worst player on the pitch on Tuesday, and by a long long way.

If I was Anderson or Cleverley I'd be looking for a new club.

If Valencia has been dropped then Young deserves to be also, he's been as poor as him.

What are you fecking on about? Young has played two or three games this entire season, of course he's not as sharp as he could be. Valencia has been off form for quite some time now. Stop listening to noodle.

You're actually having a moan on the basis of an assumption. Well done.

I think it's a 4-3-3. We'll see.

One last possibility from me today:

Code:
[CENTER]Lindegaard

Rafael - Rio - Evans - Evra

Fletcher

Scholes - Rooney

Young

RvP - Welbeck[/CENTER]

Ashley Young is undroppable. It's a special power of his. England/United doesn't make a difference, he must start every game regardless of form.

I'm confused here, am I the only one who has been paying attention at all when it comes to Young? Or have I just imagined that he's been injured for most the season and has in fact, just come back.

Why on earth would we play a 4-3-3 with Rooney out of position at home vs QPR?

And yes, I'm having a moan based on the fact that we're once again picking a deliberately stupid and unsuited team for a match based entirely on thinking we can get away with it.

As noods says, Cleverley and Anderson must be disillusioned with being benched for retired, unfit, underperforming and sick players all the time. Cleverley especially so.

In your 4-3-3, you're assuming Rooney to be the midfielder who is closest to the striker. Pretty much what marjen is saying except he calls it a 4-4-1-1 simply because Rooney dropping there can't save us every time. We lack the grip at the base of the midfield.

There will be rotation between Rooney and Young for that position, I imagine.

I don't know what Cleverley has to do to play. He was easily the best of our midfielders Tuesday and he gets benched for the worst midfielder that day and a 38 year old.

I just want to state beforehand, so that no-one can accuse me of knee-jerking afterwards: That's an unbalanced side that's far from ideal. And there's a couple of bizarre selections there.

Fletcher-Scholes as a midfield two? The two players who's looked the most off the pace this entire season?

Young still playing? Despite a number of shit performances?

Lindegaard being preferred to De Gea based on.. well, nothing

Smalling being benched due to actual defending?

We're in for some zombie football me thinks.

Yep, you've imagined it. He's been back for a while now. To be fair though, he was less worse than Valencia was against Norwich.

SAF is clearly trying what we had in 2008. 2 CMs with 4 interchangable forwards. Except Welbeck and Young currently aren't at levels that we can pull it off.

Anyone got the QPR line up?

You laugh, but Paul Pogba plays for Juventus as a direct result of this shite.

If I was in Cleverley or Anderson's shoes I'd go somewhere and play football rather than spend the most important part of my career sitting on the bench because the manager thinks old/semi injured/poor performing players are more important than me.

I think we'll win with that formation, I've far less qualms with it than our team vs Norwich anyway, though it'd be nice to see Cleverley or Anderson start a fecking game.

I'm going to quote Scholesy and say even if we win 1000 - 0 it's the wrong line-up. D.at midfield.

QPR: Cesar; Mbia, Hill, Nelsen, Traore; Derry, Faurlin, Mackie, Taarabt, Dyer; Cisse

5 changes from last game.

Nelsen (35)
Derry (34)
Hill (34)
Dyer (33)

We should thrash them.
