I think we might have underestimated Reading with that line up.

StanleyCupboard said:You are joking right? It's our strongest available lineup apart from Fletcher, Giggs and Saha

StanleyCupboard said:We'll have Vidic, Evra, Scholes, Giggs, Saha and Fletcher all fresh for Newcastle, that could be the difference. Ronaldo and Rooney are young enough to be able to cope with 2 games in a short space of time. I think Fergie has played this just right.

Thats my only gripe with the team, I'm not to fond of the Carrick, O'Shea partnership as neither likes to get forward or quickly close down play. Both better at sitting in front of the defence.

Parks Life said:MUTV have Fletcher down as sub and not Evra.
If thats the case, why's he not playing over O'Shea.

Fletch's workrate is excellent and can do a good job in midfield, better than O'Shea. Fletch and Carrick (who does a lot of defensive work with Scholes anyway) are both good defensively, while Fletch provides much more going forward than O'Sheahorselesspaul said:Carrick will become more offensive and make runs as well as passes, leaving O'S*ea to mop up at the back. Fletch is a bit too attacking for that and has a point to prove..

I look forward to hearing his Heysel jibes.horselesspaul said:Carrick will become more offensive and make runs as well as passes

Sarni said:Let's get it straight, Reading are a mid-table side, as good as Wigan for example. They aren't world beaters, they aren't as good as Newcastle, Bolton or Portsmouth for example, they are just ambitious and consistently get results against weaker opposition, occasionally giving some problems to better sides (like us or Chelsea).
They were lucky to draw at Stamford, and scored only one goal actually, the second was a gift from Chelsea.
That team should be enough to beat them at Old Trafford.
