Manchester United vs. Reading

Giggs is going to start tonight IMO. SAF seems to be using him a lot in the cup games and for good reason.

I hope to see Clev-Ando in the middle and Valencia-Young on either side. Kagawa and Hernandez to complete the front six. Would be good to see a youngish team on the park and experience on the bench, in case we need them.

De Gea
Jones Smalling Evans Buttner
Cleverley Anderson
Valencia Kagawa Young
Hernandez

Bench: Lindegaard, Vidic, Evra, Rooney, Nani, RVP, Powell.

5-1 United.

Very nice indeed, though I'd swap Young and Nani around. Young's the one returning from injury, after all.

A swedish channel has purchased the rights to broadcast the FA Cup, fecking delighted with that. For the first time in a long time, I'll watch United on TV!

De Gea, Jones, Smalling, Vidic, Buttner, Anderson, Cleverley, Nani, Kagawa, Young, Hernandez for me, or something similar.

Hernandez, Nani and Young seem certain to start for me having been completely left out of Madrid. Anderson and Cleverley seem a likely duo with Scholes injured and Carrick playing a lot of football recently.

Not too sure De Gea needs a break like the other main players, but if Lindegaard is fit I suppose he needs a game too. Defence I couldn't pick other than knowing neither Rio or Evra are likely to play.

I'd love it to be as smooth as everyone expects, but I can see Reading being bastards to play against again, I'm going for 3-1/3-2.

I'm not trying to sound cocky as I won't take a win in this game for granted, Reading are after all a Premier League side and currently in a relatively good run of form, I just have the feeling that United will play the way they should tonight and win somewhere along the lines of 4-1 or something.

-------------De Gea--------------
Smalling--Vidič---Evans----Evra
Nani--Cleverley---Carrick--Giggs
--------------Rooney-------------
------------Van Persie------------

Bench: Lindegaard, Rafael, Jones, Anderson, Kagawa, Welbeck, Hernandez.

Young might get on the bench, but I don't expect him to start, he just came back from injury.

The reason I have Carrick in is because if Fergie's really planing to go all the way in the FA Cup, I don't think he would risk not playing him. It'd be a different story if we weren't playing a Premier League side.

Same goes for Rooney and Van Persie (the latter even said he doesn't want to get rested), and most probably Evra.

Giggs is usualy picked (and rightfuly so) in cup games and since he didn't play 90 minutes (or even start) against Madrid he's good to go.

Cleverley is a certainty given that he didn't even step on the pitch, dido for Vidič.

Lindegaard might start, but I'd rather have Fergie continue to play De Gea and I don't see a particular reason why he would bench him other than playing time for Lindegaard, and it would also present a slight risk, since De Gea is the better of the two.

No reason why we can't put a Januzaj or Powell on the bench at least.

Well the same channel broadcasted them in the cl against RM and the "good" scousers in the league. Guess you only watch the FA-cup then;)

And yes it is viasat who bought the rights

When are the lineups usually out for the Cup games ?

I'm getting excited for this. It's quite nice to have a game on a Monday night for a change.

It's dreadful for us lot in Asia. Half asleep already and I've got work tomorrow.

I love Monday night games. I hate Monday in general, but it gives the miserable start of the working week something to look forward to ;)

Yeah, really helps you get through a Monday.

It's dreadful for us lot in Asia. Half asleep already and I've got work tomorrow.

That's the main issue. Saturday midday kick-offs are probably best for you guys.

Prediction:

Lindegaard

Rafael - Smalling - Jones - Buttner

Nani - Cleverley - Giggs - Young

Hernandez - Van Persie

Team news in the next few minutes.

Ashley Young, Nani, Smalling, Hernandez should all start.

I haven't seen the line-up yet, but I'm going to criticise it anyway.

Steve Mac, Jesus Christ.

I can't believe we're starting [insert player name] in midfield!

Carrick's already given the ball away, even though he's not playing!!1!!

Ben Amos hasn't caught a single ball yet.
