Manchester United vs. Reading

De Gea
Rafael Smalling Vidic Buttner
Valencia Carrick Anderson Welbeck
Rooney Van Persie

why valencia....he's been shite

Cause he hasn't started in some of the last games and Nani is injured. So for the right wing it is either him or Young. Giggs and Kagawa could play there too but Kagawa played last weekend while Giggs probably should be rested for the last part of the season.

I'd definitely put Young instead of Val.....he just doesn't deserve to start after sunday....

Giggs can easily play vs Reading. He won't be playing another game for 2 weeks after this weekend.

--------------De Gea------------------

Rafael-----Vidic------Evans-------Evra

Welbeck----Carrick---Anderson----Giggs

-----------Rooney---Van Persie----------

I want RvP to play as I want him to get back amongst the goals if possible. But I also think Chicharito needs more games, as he's hardly played recently. Rooney could sit on the bench, but that will cause another shit-storm about him leaving.

I'd play Giggs as he's been great recently, and the international break is coming up which obviously doesn't affect him. I wouldn't play Cleverley as he was awful against Chelsea.

Go absolutely full strong and hammer them. No need whatsoever to rest anyone.

If Nani is out I´d like to see this team

DDG
Rafael Rio Vidic Evra
Welbeck Anderson Carrick Giggs
Rooney Van Persie

If Nani is available then him on the right and Welbeck upfront alongside Rooney. Van Persie hasn´t been great of late

Team should be...

GK: De Gea

RB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Valencia
CM: Carrick
CM: Giggs
LM: Kagawa

CF: Rooney
CF: RVP

Subs: Lindegaard, Evans, Cleverley, Anderson, Young, Hernandez, Welbeck

Play as strong a defence as possible, play as strong an attack as possible and play our two most inform central midfielders. That alone should be enough to put many goals past them without reply

Hernandez deserves a start. Another start, another goal against Chelsea.

De Gea

Rafael
Smalling
Vidic
Evra

Kagawa
Carrick
Giggs
Young

RVP
Hernandez

My prediction that.

Hernandez definitely deserves to start again, but probably SAF will go with Rooney-RVP. Chicha's delivery in limited time this year has been unbelievable.

Not sure either RvP or Rooney deserves a start, but fear both will play over Hernandez who deserves to start more than them.

If Nani is fit I'd go with

DDG

Rafael
Vidic
Rio
Evra

Nani
Carrick
Cleverely
Young/Welbeck

Rooney
RVP

de Gea

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Nani/Young
Carrick
Anderson
Giggs

Rooney
van Persie

SUBS: Lindegaard, Smalling, Evans, Cleverley, Valencia, Kagawa, Hernandez.

Ashley Young should be able to feast on the carcass that has become Reading. Start him, probably Kagawa too.

Maybe give Smalling a start over Rafael. 6 days should be enough rest, but a little extra break before the heavy lifting of April might not be such a bad idea.

Whatever we do, just keep Valencia out of the team for now. Welbeck, Nani, Kagawa, Giggs and possibly even Young all warrant starts over him at the moment.

Not sure if serious, are you still hoping that either him or Valencia will score before Weaste gets to 100K posts?

I think Weaste has it in the bag, tbh.

-----------------------De Gea----------------------

---Rafael---------Vidic--------Evans--------Buttner--

--Kagawa--------Carrick----Anderson------Giggs----

------------------Rooney----Van Persie-------------

Simple 4-4-2. Win 2-0. Roon, Van Persie. And all is good again.

DDG
Rafael Vidic Rio Evra
Kagawa Anderson Carrick Young
Rooney Hernandez

I think RVP is suffering from a bit of burn out. He's done so well up to this point and is starting to look jaded. Hernandez deserves a start after scoring superbly against Chelsea. If Nani is injured I'd go with Kagawa out wide, he couldn't be any worse than Valencia who seems to be in a rather epic funk. Shame Nani picked up a knock because he was looking good and is probably playing the best of our wingers.

--------------DDG

Rafael---Vidic-----Rio----Buttner (rest Evra but won't happen)

--------Carrick----Giggs

Young(or Nani if fit)-------Welbeck

---------RvP-----Rooney

3-1 United. (RvP 2, Carrick)

RVP will play, else he wouldn't have been rested against Chelsea.

So, no worries about the back five, but personally I'd drop Rooney.

Carrick - Anderson
Nani - Kagawa - Welbeck
RVP

Normally facing a team who have just sacked their manager can be a bad thing, but with Reading I don't think so.

I saw them live against Villa and they should have been smashed out of the water, they just lack any premier league players with maybe a couple of bottom end exceptions.

Play the best team, smash them, and get everyone's confidence back up after the last couple of games.

If it was an away tie I'd be a little concerned. We should beat them comfortably at home though.

Strong team, give Cleverley a break and probably leave Rio out if he plans to go and play for England. If Scholes is finally fit enough to be involved I'd put him on the bench and bring him on in the second half. He and Giggs will be important in the run-in.

Reading have given us two tough and completely different games. In the away game we probably didn't expect them to be so adventurous and they managed to get three goals in an attacking game. At Old Trafford in the Cup it was a different story, they defended a lot deeper for the most-part. However, both times they lost by one goal. They'll almost certainly go for the more defensive approach this time, we need to be more clinical than we have recently.

Hopefully Everton do us a favour and we can go into this game with the chance to extend our lead rather than maintain it.

DDG

Smalling--Vidic--Evans--Evra

Carrick--Ando

Rooney

Kagawa--v.Persie--Hernandez

Let's rack up a cricket score

I've been having a good feeling about this team lately, so I want to see it in action:

----------- DDG -----------
Rafael - Vidic - Evans - Evra
---- Carrick - Cleverley ----
- Nani - Kagawa - Welbeck -
--------- Rooney ----------

They did almost draw with us at home just a month ago in the Cup. Just saying we shouldn't take them too lightly.

BUT.

It's a great fixture to have at a crucial point in the season. Get in, get out with 3 points and then calm the f*ck down, and get ready to rope in the title. It's been a relatively poor 10 days, but this represents the best chance for the team to get back to business.

I'd swap Rafael out for Smalling and Nani for Young if Nani's not fit, but yeah, good shout.
