Manchester United vs Real Madrid

Something must be up with Wayne, fairly sure SAF referenced him as a threat we can utilise.

He did play the 90 vs Norwich whereas every other attacking player apart from Carrick did not.

If he's injured, that's a big downer for the team and a big boost to Madrid.

433 then? Real pace on the wings with Nani and Welbeck at least. I hope Giggs has a stormer.

Got a feeling this one will go 120 minutes. Rooney to come on for the last 60 or so.

edit: oh he's injured/ill? Holy shit balls!

Manchester United team to play Real Madrid ...

De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Cleverley, Nani, Welbeck, Giggs, Van Persie.

If he's not injured, this:
Oliver Holt ‏@OllieHolt22
"Should I stay or should I go?" playing at Old Trafford. Probably what Rooney's thinking right now.

Why the feck? Baffling that Giggs starts ahead of him

Rooney not playing seems like reason to panic but then you look at RVP and Welbeck on the team sheet and keep calm and carry on.

Rooney was smiling coming off the coach. If he was injured, someone surely would've reported it during the day?

It's still a good side but would want to be at full strength against Madrid and for me that includes Rooney.

I would have started Kagawa over Giggs as well. I love Ryan but I don't think he should be starting our biggest games anymore. Still capable of hurting opposition players but I much prefer him as impact sub in these matches.

Maybe this is some bizarre 'backwards' sub ploy. Giggs still to play 30 minutes but come off in the first half?!

The stranger thing is if Rooney is out, why on god's name is Kagawa not starting? Very strange.

If the lineup is true, this is a massive chance for Nani to prove himself and people might call me crazy, but I think this will be the defining moment for him.

WOW if Rooney is not even in the squad, the transfer muppets will be foaming at the mouth.

Why? If he's not in the squad then that would mean he's injured. It's if he's on the bench and not in the starting lineup that the muppets will go wild.

Giggs is on to slow the pace in midfield, Rooney will replace him if we need a goal.

If Rooney has been dropped and is not injured, he will be off in the summer.

come on to score
