Are we ever going to play Kagawa in the hole? He doesn't even get a game when RVP is injured.

You'd think now would have been the perfect time to do it, with us playing a spanish side and RVP being out. At least with Sir Alex here we saw him experimenting loads at the start of the season especially trying to fill all of them in their best positions. Moyes isn't even trying to be flexible, he just has his 4-4-2 and he's putting in the players even though they aren't suited to the positions sometimes (Kagawa and Giggs today).

No? It's because he's playing in a system not suited to him at all. He's not a traditional winger. He can play on the left in set ups like Dortmunds or Japan, where they roam around the field and the wingers go in field, not in a set up like today where our wingers are meant to stay wide and hug the touchline offering width. We'll almost definitely be overrun in midfield, as we always are when Carrick and Giggs play together and we have 2 strikers as well.

Maybe.we are playing him there so we don't get overrun in midfield. Having a midfielder out wide often works that way.

Could anyone PM me a site with high quality rivers? Tired of buffring and poor picture :(

I've just remembered how Sociedad play, and we've gone for Giggs in midfield. :(

Moyes says Kagawa and Hernandez are fresh. So he can't be using the 'tired' excuse anymore

Moyes saying RVP struggling with the knocks picked up with Holland. Hopefully he's back for the weekend.

Moyes saying RVP out because of the injuries, and Giggs is in because of his experience in these games
Gotta love how this "experience" of his is so overrated.

Is RVP Injured or is the bust up between him and Moyes true?

What?
Surely it was always good sense to rest him for this one, as he's had the toe problem, a thigh problem, and has just about played the last 2 league games, and internationals in between.

Hernandez always made better sense in this one

Should be an interesting game, Sociedad are by no means poor and are excellent on the counter. Griezmann is an excellent player.

Especially not when we're using a center mid that would struggle against any team in the Premier League, let alone a spanish team in the Champions league.

I swear this forum has started some kind of bollocks spouting competition and I never got the email...

you probably shouldn't go to the Giggs thread.

The same tedious twats are giving It the Giggs should retire utter horsesh!t, they've been peddling for the last 6 or so years.

So basically, Giggs is in because of Moyes' lack of experience in these games. He has gone for a safe option. He has no idea what team to pick right now.

Why the hell does not Fellaini play? In this way he will never find a form if he's playing one game and getting subbed, then on the bench in the next game. £27M, then you really should start him and have confidence you signed the right player.

in fairness after watching Fellaini at the weekend I think Giggs is the better option until the big man finds his feet/confidence

disappointed that Zaha can't get in the squad - hard to see the kid getting a chance the way things are looking

Yeah, but I feel Fellaini has to start games to get to his best. I mean, if Moyes signed him he must have some kind of patient with him.
