We will throw Fellaini on up front when we are 1 down in the last 10 minutes. Don't panic lads.

IN fairness, that's a decent team. Glad to see we are keeping to a centre back pairing and good to see Kagawa and Hernandez get a game. Europe might suit Giggs more than Fellaini at the moment.

Rooney and Carrick need a top performance tonight. Would prefer Nani over Valencia but we will see how this goes.

As for all the sarcy 4-4-2 comments, I very much doubt we will be linking up like that with Kagawa on the left and Rooney in the centre with a player like Hernandez.

I swear this forum has started some kind of bollocks spouting competition and I never got the email...

Carrick and Giggs, when they started together in center mid, struggled in almost every game they played together last season and we got run over. I remember home to QPR in particular where I think they started together and we struggled to beat them, that was when they were manager-less too. It's not exactly surprising though, we're using a 40 year old winger next to Carrick. It's pretty much a one man midfield, and that one man isn't exactly a work horse or someone who gets around the pitch, as good as he is.

Do ITV only show games on the tuesday? Would have liked to hear what the bitter man said tonight.

I'm really worried about Giggs in midfield, really don't like it. But Cleverley is not fit, Fellaini hasn't looked good, Anderson is Anderson and I'm happy to keep Jones at what should be his position. Just another sign of the massive failure which is our handling of our midfield for the past few years.

in fairness after watching Fellaini at the weekend I think Giggs is the better option until the big man finds his feet/confidence

disappointed that Zaha can't get in the squad - hard to see the kid getting a chance the way things are looking

Giggs does not fill me with confidence....
I'd rather have Anderson alongside Carrick than Giggs. Seriously, do fans even consider the psychological damage starting a 40 year-old player can cause for the younger midfielders? When would we ask Giggs to retire & stop stunting the growth of the younger players. Zaha hasn't kicked the ball this season & Giggs get a stroll into the team after putting out shitstorms after shitstorms.

The mind boggles....

Aye, Carrick on his own with 2 inconsistent players wide of him and then Rooney who we never know what we'll get with him from game to game. Thank god Hernandez is starting, he'll win us this game.

De Gea; Rafael, Jones, Evans, Evra; Carrick, Giggs; Valencia, Rooney, Kagawa; Hernández

KAGAWA STARTS

Looking forward to seeing what exactly the tactical disposition will be. Could be interesting. Buttner ahead of Fabio :annoyed:

Horrible, horrible midfield. But I'm greatly pleased to see Jones and Evans start at the back again!

Any chance Valencia is in centre mid and giggsy out wide? Does Valencia not play centrally for Ecuador?

Also disappointed no Fabio or Zaha on the bench but overall a good team I think.

Game over lads, Eamon Dunphy doesn't fancy Evra or Rafael.

Just seen the line up. Giggs can't play in a midfield two, he just can't. Other than that it looks good. Hernandez gets a start, Kagawa plays even if its on the left and faith in Evans and Jones to carry on looking great. Valencia at least deserves a chance to earn his way back in and we don't want to burn Nani out so not too bothered about seeing him there. Wish Fabio would get a game though.

Would like to see,
DDG
Rafael
Evra
Jones
Evans
Carrick
Cleverley
Kagawa
Nani
RVP
Welbeck

Valencia is anything but inconsistent he was superb for 2 1/2years and then shit for 1 1/2 no inconsistency here!

Giggs in midfield again ... This is asking for trouble.

It's baffling David Moyes even fails at his line-up. Giggs in the midfield in a must-win game? I would rather have a retired Scholes or Keane there.

That Pepsi advert really gets on me bits.

Under Moyes, you never have to win. Draws are acceptable. Evidence: see results and tactics thus far in the season.

Two months ago Moyes spent £27 million on Fellaini and tonight he can't even get in the team ahead of a 40 year old winger.

I'm sorry but I refuse to believe that Giggs is better suited to play CM over Fellaini.

Jones is for racism

joking in case in anybody thinks I am serious for some reason

Anderson was poor in the game he played against Palace as well

Cleverley has been the best partner for Carrick this season away at Sunderland - just a shame he got injured - Fellaini was truly awful on Saturday and on that form Ando would be a better option

it looked like a nervous performance for him and maybe he needs some time

as for Zaha I can't understand it - the only viable reason given the amount of rotation and him still not getting a game is that he has pissed Moyes off

I do hope it isn't personal (rumours that Zaha is sticking it to Moyes daughter)

be nice to see us get a decent lead and see some of Kagawa centrally with Fellaini given a run out
