I expect moderate rotation. I'd be surprised to see Januzaj start 3 in a row.

Looks like a Europa league side...

The problem with this game for Fellaini is the biggest problem I had with us signing him.

Whilst I think the type of player he is can be very useful his obvious lack of mobility is going to kill us in games where we would most want to use him most as a ball winner. Him and Carrick will get eaten alive, you fear.

Fellaini's lack of mobility wouldn't be too much of an issue if he had any sense of danger. It was amazing watching him jog around as Southampton won loose balls, and then seeing RVP and Rooney overlap him to defend, and essentially do his job. If he had better anticipation, he could be very useful for us. he's been a passenger so far.

It'd be quite funny if Carlos Vela scores one of his trademark chips in this game.

Going with a 5-1 to United. It'll be the Leverkuson game but worse.

I have a nasty feeling that a certain bald headed diving winger will feature.

Well we've not been doing bad in Europe so it's something to look forward to.

----------------De Gea------------
Rafael-----Evans----Vidic----Evra
Nani---Carrick--Cleverley--Kagawa
---------Rooney---Hernandez------

Wouldn't mind something like that. I don't see Moyes making too many changes and might end up going for Van Persie instead.

De Gea
Rafael--Evans--Vidic--Evra
Carrick--Cleverley
Valencia--Rooney--Kagawa
van Persie

Subs: Lindegaard, Jones, Fellaini, Nani, Januzaj, Welbeck, Hernandez

Tempted to rest one of Rooney/van Persie and bring in Hernandez..

I'm an idiot. I went on to Wikipedia and looked at Real Sociedad's squad. I didn't recognise who you could be talking about. Even clicked on a few to see if there was a picture.

45 minutes later, I realised you were talking about Ashley Young.

:wenger:

United, or any other team in Europe for that matter, would cope with it much better than we did. :D

They were impressive weren't they ? I don't much about that half french half Basque lad Zurutuza but he was fantastic in both legs.

Why am I more confident in getting results in Europe over getting results domestically nowadays?

DDG
Rafael Evans Vidic Evra/Fabio
Carrick Fellaini
Nani Kagawa Welbeck
RVP
I'm in favor of dropping Rooney and giving Kagawa a few games in that position, to see what he is capable of. Welbeck to provide discipline on the left and link up with Kagawa/RVP. I'd like to see Fabio get some games, now that Evra has announced he is leaving at the end of the season.

I hope Kagawa, Hernandez and Fellaini play. No Young or Giggs, please.

Don't care that much about performance, just want us to start grinding out results consistently to give us something to build on. We have zero momentum so far this season.

---Rafael d.Silva--------Vidic----------R.Ferdinand------------P.Evra----

----Valencia-----------Carrick------Cleverley---------------Januzaj----

------------------------------------------Kagawa--------------------

-----------------------Van Persie------------------------------------

Subs: Lindgaard, J.Evans, Buttner, Wellbeck, Nani, Rooney, Giggs.

Kagawa deserves a chance.

Fellaini, Rooney, P. Jones had a stinker against Southampton
Prediction:2-1 win scrappy unconvincing.

The only thing to look forward to is the singing section.

I hope Fellaini is nowhere near the team. Useless feck.

Januzaj isn't registered.

In that case... I wouldn't mind seeing the following, baring in mind some people do need game time.

DDG
Rafael_Smalling_Evans_Fabio
Carrick_Jones
Zaha_Kagawa_Nani (/Januzaj)
Hernandez

My revised squad after hearing the training reports.

De Gea
Rafael--Jones--Evans--Evra
Carrick--Fellaini
Valencia--Rooney--Kagawa
van Persie/Hernandez

Subs: Lindegaard, Smalling, Zaha, Giggs, Nani, Januzaj, Hernandez

I do want Januzaj and Nani to play but I think we should keep them fresh for the weekend and I think Valencia + Kagawa deserve a game. Tempted to start Hernandez too.
