You're asking that De Gea take a huge risk of getting sent off. That would have been an unfortunate result.
For some reason, refs love to send off keepers in 1 v 1 situations, even when you can clearly see the keeper had no intent to foul the man. By definition it's a goal scoring opportunity and if you do ANYTHING wrong as a keeper, you're sent off and your girlfriends denies you coitus that night.
Three games with Anders in goal? I think not. Not worth the risk in the first minute. If it's the last minute and the goal would have tied or won the game for the opponent, then you take one for the team. But not in that situation.
