Manchester United Vs Southampton

Can it still be a knee-jerk reaction to opine that Moyes is not the right manager for us?

The substitutions were beyond retarded from moyes. Smalling for Rooney
fecking hell. We've become so shite under moyes.

Absolute shambles. Moyes has got it all wrong in the second half. Throwing on Smalling was just silly when we're only up 1-0 at OT. I know hindsight is 20/20 but it just amazes me how poor of an attacking side we have become. Teams clearly having a go at us and we can't string together two passes in midfield.

Rooney losing the ball all over the place. Meanwhile we have fantastic players like Kagawa sitting on the bench who deserve a run out. Its clear that we are no longer in the title race and are now aiming to be in the CL spots.

Not one for ciritising the manager, and Moyes is on a learning curve, but that's down to him. Sit back at one nil is tactics from 10 or more years ago, it doesnt work in modern leagues where nearly every team in it have very very capable forward lines.

Sadly, we should have been 3 up given the chances we had even before this, had we kept going o the front foot we would have scored more by the end.

If he needs to learn on the job that inviting a much fitter team into your half by taking away your midfield and attacking options is a bad idea, he needs to consider a career switch.

I fecking hope Moyes learned a lesson this afternoon!!! He looked a bit taken by the moment as he walked into the tunnel. To be bullied around at home is not acceptable. SAF looked like he was about to implode.

Gutless. Absolutely fecking gutless.

Things need to improve quickly. I know its a tough ask replacing Ferguson, but feck me, show some balls. Sitting back and trying to defend a 1-0 lead, fecking about with bizarre substitions, especially defensively when it's entirely unnecessary isn't going to help.

We had more than enough chances to put it to bed. Was unlucky, Southampton played well but we deserved the win more - one of those days!

Trying to stay positive but what were those substitutions all about feck me we are Manchester United not Everton. Learn soon Mr Moyes what a lot of pish we are getting served up so far.

Moyes has to sort out his diabolical small-time mentality subs. He can feck right off with that shite.

I'll be surprised if we can qualify for the champions league this season. If Moyes is to succeed at United, he will probably need at least 2-3 seasons. We should take the League & FA Cup very seriously.

I suppose losing at home to West Brom was 'one of those days'? These 'days' you speak of are becoming increasingly more frequent.

Terrible substitutions and we need to change our shape and the way we approach our attack. This is clearly not working and we are not scoring enough goals despite having two of the best strikers in the world.

Taking off Fellaini and leaving us so open in midfield was absolutely mystifying.

Hard to understand what Moyes was doing. Time to go offline for the day, think any more about this and I'll just piss myself off more and more.

8 points behind the Arse. I'm officially worried.

Is anyone really surprised by this though? Sadly it's what I've come to expect.

Evans MOTM for me. Solid defensively and did well on the ball. Puzzling substitutions (energy needed, so Moyes puts on Giggs..?!).

Fellaini didn't do well, but Rooney was absolute dog shite. Wasted a 1on1 (which will go a bit unnoticed because RvP scored on the follow-up) and I lost count of how many attacking moves stopped at his feet.

It's amazing how shit we are. Every team we've played have looked so organised against us and we've been an absolute shambles tactically. Fellaini isn't a midfielder and rooney is too inconsistent to be a link man.

well we can forget all about the title - and C.L next season looks hard as well.

He does make it hard to get people behind him when he makes such dire subs like that. This was a good game to turn things around but he failed badly. Started to have strong doubts about this, a long slippery road if he doesn't change things.

Southampton deserved their point, we were poor. Moyes' substitutions were poor too, we should be better than that. A lot of problems at the moment.

I think today Moyes (and Fellaini) really showed that they are out of their depth so far. Not saying that they won't be successful moving forwards, but today was a reality check for both. This is Manchester United not everton anymore.
