I would like to see this.

De Gea
Jones Evans Vidic Evra
Carrick Cleverley
Kagawa Mata Welbeck
Rooney

I'm not so sure about the pair of CB. So I don't mind to see Smalling or Rio in there. I thought Carrick - Cleverley were doing really good against Norwich. So let's keep play them together.
Last game was 4-0. Let's go for 5-0 this time.

Goals: Welbeck (2), Mata, Rooney, Hernandez

Anyone think there is a chance of any of the youth players making the bench?

I wouldn't expect Giggs to change too much from the Norwich game. I'd make 2 though, Cleverley and Welbeck out and replaced with Fletch and Mata. Given the way he went 442 i'd be inclined to go more of a 4411 with Kagawa and Adnan wide but given licence to roam inside. The way mata and Kagawa combine together i've got no problem with starting him wide, just as long as he isn't made to hug the line.

Not too sure on who's back from injury so we could still see the same defence as last week (which may be a first this season)

I can't stand Poyet! But somehow I'd like them to stay up, they always do well against City! Norwich however can go down so Suarez has 6 goals less next season!

I think it's wasteful to play both Rio and Vidic, when at least one of them is sure to leave this summer. Let Smalling play!

------------- DDG -----------
Jones - Vidic - Smalling - Evra
------ Carrick - Fletcher -----
-- Januzaj - Mata - Kagawa --
----------- Rooney ----------

Rafael for Jones if he's fit.

Not this Carrick Fletcher midfield please. How many times do you want to see no mobility, misplaced passes and opposition players running straight through them as if they aren't there.

As things stand now, any midfield will do as long as Cleverley isn't in it... I just don't see a bright future for him. He barely gets any playtime now, and it's only gonna get worse when we actually start signing proper central midfielders. From this summer and onwards, he wont get enough playtime to develop as player. So even if there's an available spot once Carrick retires, he's just not gonna be good enough.

That is why I see no point in playing Cleverley in the remaining games. At least Fletcher might stay as a backup for a couple of years. He's also a better player.

I wonder if RVP is back for this one, or at least a small cameo in the last 20 minutes or so, cant wait until he's back banging in goals for us.

I say let Rio and Vidic play out the season together at CB. Neither is going to the World Cup, whereas Jones and Smalling should both be in the England squad. I'd like to see Adnan get a decent run out over the next couple of games.

Well it's time to spoil the party.

Hope we do our bit to send them down.

Hear hear.

Between their shitty fans, terrible squad, awful city and Gus Poyet there's nothing anyone would want to save.

Does anyone know why we havent tried 4-3-2-1 yet? seems like it could be answer to all our selection problems. (Just discovered how to do this :P)

Or is this a case of Carrick not being considered good enough for the anchor role? Welbeck in for Kagawa for more pace?

Well, considering our problems in midfield, SolidState, I wouldn't suggest chucking Carrick in there as the SOLE midfielder is a good idea..

You could argue that Carrick has been our sole midfielder for almost 2 seasons now.
Indeed also we all know Rooney and Mata are usually asked to drop in as well as Kagawa.

Sub: Lindergaard - Rio - Buttner - Felliani - Nani - Welbeck - Hernandez

Result: Manchester United 3 - 1 Sunderland

I reckon we'll see different team tomorrow. When Giggs said its hard to pick the squad, he's feeling the pressure who to play and who to drop so i got a feeling we'll see a few changes from the last game but one thing for sure Mata has to start in his best position.

I doubt they'll go down now as Norwich have two tough games but I would've enjoyed seeing them relegated. Remember at the carling cup game they brought thousands and were going on like they were the best fans on the planet, only to have a half empty stadium the next game. Not to mention that their manager is racist supporting cnut.

Back to reality.

They are fighting in a relegation battle, drew with City and beat Chelsea in the last few games.

They could beat us and I will not be surprises. People may say how are you going to Judge Giggs with such few easy games? Sundeand are not an easy ride. If he beats them comfertably, anyone think of Giggsy differently?

Think this could be a potential slip-up. It should be a lot more difficult than some make it out to be, despite the huge disparity in quality between the two sides. I'll go for a narrow 2-1.

We'll be fine. As has been stated already our curse has been lifted. I think everyone including the player's are currently in a happy place. Confidence started to sparkle towards the end of the Norwich match. As long as we compete. Press tight in midfield and show a slickness in our passing we'll in the end be too much for Sunderland.

Man Utd 3 - 1 Sunderland

With no Rooney and RVP, hopefully Hernandez starts ahead of Welbeck as striker.

I'm confident of victory, regardless of who Giggsy puts out there.

4-0

What i want to see, pace galore, but i can see Januzaj playing on the left and Welbeck starting up front.

I think we should make only enforced changes to the team that played Norwich. We are still chasing a Europa place.

De Gea
Jones Rio Vidic Evra
Carrick Cleverley
Valencia Mata Kagawa
Welbeck
2 - 1 United win.
