Manchester United vs. Sunderland

Everyone is blaming Nani even though he wasn't remotely as bad as others. Typical really

Hmmm, don't think it was THAT bad.......I think we will totally up the tempo in the second half and sunderland will tire...and get more and more nervous as we get to 90 minutes...

But if we can't pass the ball to another player in a red shirt, then it doesn't matter what tempo we play at.

Valencia and Anderson / Carrick for Welbeck and Scholes please.

Agree with whoever said Rooney should stop shouting at others when he has given the ball away more than anyone - Scholes included. He was also very luck not to have been booked when he took a swipe at Reid (I think).

Worst I have seen United.

Scholes and Rooney have been shocking.Berbatov not performing as usual.

We need change .

It can't be any worse in the 2nd half. We'll surely come back strong. Just gotta watch them on the break. Still don't trust Foster unfortunately. Should he have done better for the goal? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was blinded by O'Shea.

Fabio could be a decent option to change the match even if he's play instead of Nani on the left wing.

Scholes is disrupting our forward momentum. If he comes off I think we will look a different team.

twas from bbc. Can't seem to recall the shot on target myself.

I agree on Scholes should be subbed by Carrick ASAP - that's before he does something stupid and earns himself a red.

normally i would say stick with scholes but somedays you just dont have it and today so far he hasnt

and there is the whole rash challenge issues he has

funny thing is they are nowhere their best . they have given the ball away so many times we just havent been at the races so far

I agree, its not as though they have been brilliant....looks like an off day for both teams so its one of those days we must scrap for a win. I blame the weather :)

Wow

Just an amazing half really.

Evra has been brilliant mind, the rest have been awful. Don't think I've seen Fletcher play as bad as that

I really feel Pig deserves to be ahead of Foster.

Foster was poor for that goal.

The gods are on standby and willing to intervene.

I'd say he, roo and scholes have been equally inept.

Bullshit. He hasn't been half as bad as either of them. Welbeck, Berbs and O Shea have all been worse too. Evra is our only player in the pitch not playing badly really

Terrible first half.

Get Carrick and Ando on, Welbeck and Scholes off.

Every single one of our midfielders and strikers have been abysmal.

We are so lucky to only be 1-0 down. Hopefully Sir Alex will read them the riot act because that was nowhere near good enough. Scholes must be careful with his booking and there has been very little goal threat anywhere else. I expect some urgency, passion and creatvity in the second half because we dare not lose like this tonight. Keep the faith because we are much better than this.

It's bloody awful. Nani is back to his old self. Rooney is looking disinterested and gettin frustrated by the minute - IMO he's lost his early season sharpness in the last 2-3 games. To me, he seems sated already and is just looking to cruise. Scholes looks like a ticking time bomb. And O'Shea - so far this season, I honestly don't know what he's doing on our starting 11 most games - I can only surmise that there is a lack of RB - which sounds incredulous.

Did you see how close Bent was to the goal? he was just outside the box, and he hit it very hard, Foster tried his best. Maybe VDS might gotten a touch with his long arms but it was hardly a mistake.

Also - Nani has been probably the best of a very bad bunch in the first half.

Him and Foster are to blame for everything though

Please take a chill pill. Very early in the season. This is not a must win game. Relax, get some beer if you are of age. Enjoy the ride.
