Decent first half but no more. We're not cooking like we were in the second half against Swansea two weeks ago but we've done enough to be ahead.

Lee Mason is an amazingly poor referee. Amazing that Borini is yet to get a yellow card after repeatedly fouling both Rafael and Januzaj. Its ridiculous.

We're going to have to score at least three the way Rafael and Buttner are defending. Clean sheet looks unlikely.

Not bad but we miss Robin's fiery streak let alone his ability.

Decent performance, most players putting in a decent account of themselves, Buttner and Welbeck poor. Very important goal, well in Evans

We're all just waiting for the game to end so that the mata stuff can finish , let's be honest. Even saw rio tweet earlier that he goes on twitter and stuff to see if mata has signed

We did on sunday...

Take a look at the number of goals scored from open play at Old Trafford, compared to last season's numbers.

At one point before christmas we'd scored something like three goals from open play in 9 or 10 matches. That's atrocious.

Seem to be doing our usual - score a goal and relax lads, what could happen?

Get ta feck., keep the intensity up and put this to bed.

Not sure the players could be any more relaxed than they were before the goal. Can't even call that performance average. Can't think of any side from the top half that would have created so little in 45 minutes at home to fecknig Sunderland.

Phillips is a dick. Refuses to acknowledge Kagawa. Says Januzaj and Welbeck got more of the ball which is fine and then on the clip of the cross, he said it was Rafael.

Poor Sunderland. The OP is actually right (ish). But to be fair they probably haven't seen a two legged League Cup tie in 20 years.
Is he actually right? I'll be honest, I'm not too clued up on the exact rules, I was just laughing at the piss-taking going on

We cannot let a team of cnuts like this beat us. Cattermole, Bardsley, Borini and managed by some sort of ape.

Telegraph states that Chelsea have accepted a £37m offer from us, medical tomorrow.

Half of you lot must be watching a different game. We have been poor I thought. Against a team 2nd of bottom, we have struggle to creat much. Our passing is woeful, and why are we so scared to play out of defense? 442 is not working.

To SAFC, after ET and away goals rule.

1st 2-1
2nd 2-1, ET 1-1

Bet your house on it.
Maths not your strong point?
Have I missed summit here?

That would be 4-4?
Two away goals and two home goals is 4 you thick ****
This away goals counts double or two just confuses people.

They don't
Jesus Christ!

Only one of them counts as double if it ends as a draw. Not each goal!

So if you scored 3 away it wouldn't count as 6!
Dear me  This has to be a windup
Poor guy.

I cant tell if the Sunderland fans are just wumming or a bit thick

I think we've been alright. Sunderland are up for it, but we're slowly starting to take a bit of control. Van Persie or Rooney in place of Hernandez would see a big difference. Either way, hopefully we can build on this and wrap up the match as soon as possible.
