Why do people care about going forward so much? The first priority of a right back is defense. O'Shea is a far better defender and is a greater asset at set pieces due to his height.
Brown, Park, Gibson and Neville. Are we not better to sell these players if they can't make it on the bench?

It's not hate, O'Shea is a great lad, but he's not good enough he offers us nothing.
The squad depth is too deep.
Now that's just not true, is it?

Why? Because a careless pass upfront, can quickly turn into a goal against us. It also stops any build up play we were trying to attack with. It is important that all defenders should improve their ball distribution in the modern game.
O'Shea to score today then
He offers us nothing in a home game like this I mean. No threat from the opposition whatsoever, we need someone that can attack.
So can the dodgy positional sense Rafael has.
Aye, because we'll be completely toothless without an attacking right back. Against West Ham. At home.
We're bound to score. I just want to see a clean sheet. For a change.
Oh my god, people actually think they know more about football than Sir Alex Ferguson.

Which is why he should get his chances to improve it against relatively weak opposition. Rafael is the future of the club, he's going to be here in 5 years (hopefully). O'shea won't.
If its 0-0 on 60 minutes, you will have wished Rafael started.
OMG. Football fans questioning the managers formation?
This is unheard off.
Cease all debate. Switch to drone mode...
SAF is GOD. SAF is GOD. SAF is GOD.

Personally, if the likes of Brown and Neville can stay fit for a full season, and O'Shea to a lesser extent, then Rafael could be loaned out to get some playing time. Rather him improve with another club and cost them goals while maturing than making rash decisions while United are chasing trophies.
Yeah it's one thing debating the formation and line up of the 2009 champions league final but it's another to criticize him for picking our best right back in a game against West Ham. What next? Why aren't we arguing about Smalling getting a game because he is "yung n lernin"? Shouldn't we be mentioning Evans or Vidic who had poor games last weekend?
