As usual, a good opening 20 minutes has given way to a middling performance. Our players take 10 touches to do what Barcelona players do in 2. The spaces are there but by time the player on the ball makes up his mind they're filled. I feel sorry for Martial, he's running without reason, the ball will never come.

McNair has been particularly poor in possession, has Rooney lent him his first touch? Darmian's been okay but little better. Even Basti has been dwelling on the ball. Hopefully Carrick has some impact and can help switch the play faster, I don't count on it though. Another frustrating performance of a side visibly playing below its potential.

Before people start moaning they would do well to remember that West Ham have beaten Liverpool, City and Arsenal away already this season.
Too right mate, we'll be doing well to make it difficult for them just like the Toon under Moyes, hopefully we nick this 0-0 in our strive for that 7th place finish behind West Ham, that elite Premier League team.

In a year where teams are struggling to pull away and take the league by the balls, we sit at home passing it sideways with almost zero penetration against fecking West Ham.

Just fecking attack and stop being such a pussy with your tactics, Louis.

Dominating that possession stat again. All we need is the basic aim of football to change to that and we'll walk the league.

Good half for Lingard and Smalling. The rest range from crap to totally anonymous.

The results haven't been close to being that good.

Sorry, I thought we were ahead of City, Arsenal with their supposed world class squads and attacking play, and all our other title rivals with a win today, in December.

    Must have imagined that.

We could easily be down to 9 men, no idea what Bastian was thinking of but it was so unbelievably fecking stupid. Lucky, lucky boy.

    Snorey borey Man Uniiiited

It's clear to see that we will never be entertaining under Van Gaal. Time for him to go.

    Caught the last 15 mins.
Its amazing that for all our riches we still look this average.

The poor state of the quality from our players out there is staggering. Really struggle to adapt to this shit on stick football on display every single game.

Seems like we're incapable of findind the balance between playing too slow and too fast. Today we've seen an improvement regarding the tempo, but our play seems too rash and chaotic.

    No we couldn't.

There was absolutely nothing in the Fellaini one and Reid went down like a sack of shit after doing the same thing to Schweinsteiger for the preceding minute. Both red cards would have been very, very, harsh.

Incredibly frustrating but the players have to take a lot of responsibility for their decision making/end product. We had several good opportunities in the first 20 mins and either chose the wrong option or the execution was poor. Rode our luck at the other end though it has to be said.

Another shite half. McNair shouldn't be starting for a team that has spent 300 million pounds. Also Mata... get him off. Useless again.

Mata is a passenger yet again, he'll score s penalty and everyone will say look at his stats.

I don't understand why people expect so much from a team with so many injuries, if we get a scrappy 1-0 I'll be very happy. West Ham are a good team who have picked up impressive results away from home this season, they don't just suddenly become crap because they are playing us whatever people think.

I don't see us getting top 4 if I am being honest. We look like a 6th place side. Our vaunted defense also isn't very good. If some of those chances fell to one of the actual top European clubs we would be getting battered.

Why does LVG play United defenders out of position?
Mcnair should be at center back, Darmian should be right back and Blind should be left back.
The defenders will be more comfortable and can play to their best potential.
All season, Juan Mata has been too weak and cannot hold the ball well. I think he needs more weight training to beef up.

Another bore fest of a half from us. McNair with contender for the worst performance of the season.

I've seen mata hanging around the left side more than the right today, honestly our right side is almost none existent.

Has the Idiot got us pinging in more long balls in his quest to appease the fans?

Only game in the league without a goal, would never have thought that like.

Yes, you must have as we weren't ahead of City in December.
