Looks solid today but lacking the cutting edge in his shooting, probably due to months being out. At the very least he is playing aggressively especially when we are defending and trying to win the ball back. Tidy in his passing too. Positioning is the best I've seen of him yet.

£27m and still crap. But we are apparently a mid table team so let's say decent. Really pleased with him .....

Not a bad half. I'm still not sure whether we'll see the best out of Fellaini sitting deep or playing as a box to box player for us. I'd personally have him sitting deep, but we'd need a dynamic player next to him who can control the game.

Good first half, he has looked decent and thats coming from someone who called him a waste of money and useless wanker.

Very encouraging today, seem to have sorted his feet out and some good simple passing as well as well timed runs into the box. On today's evidence Looks ready to slip into the box to box role we are looking for him to play albeit today was against bottom half opposition.

Yup. We also looked a lot more solid with him on the pitch, can't remember any time Palace had a decent chance of any sort when he was on the pitch.

Better than usual today. He won't be able to get so far up the pitch against any decent teams because it leaves Carrick far too exposed when Fellaini's pushed forward.

There was damn all wrong with his performance there this evening so less of that crap. It's been a while since I saw our midfield as tight as it was there. For a lad that I'd say has still a few cobwebs to shake off yet I thought his positioning and work rate was top notch and overall he played a big part in keeping things ticking a long nicely by passing the ball around intelligently. He deserves to get the nod ahead of Cleverley on Tuesday now IMO. Fair play to him.

Good display and he was positive in his play which was the most important thing. Only thing i can hope for is the same team bar Smalling is selected for the next game.

He played for the occasion. Nothing wrong with that.

Good first half, average second after our 2 goals, but considering he's been out for months.. gives us hope hopefully can build upon it.

He was crap, useless and just passed 5 yards to the person closest to him, said the person with an agenda.

It was a good performance by him, one of our best players on the pitch admittedly against a palace team that camped in their box in the first half. Still it looks promising that he can find a role here.

Just proves, give the man a chance while he's 100% and then judge him. Today, he was great. Build on this and he'll end the season as our first choice midfielder.

Encouraging performance and interesting how Moyes allowed him to push up next to RVP when palace just sat back and defended. Gives us a slightly different dimension and possibly a big target in the box. Did quite well playing in midfield as well and showed some ability to go box to box. Hopefully he will continue improving and get to 100% fitness.

Agreed a couple of them only from palace and I did feel that toward the end he dropped back into the habit of not pressuring the ball (I think this might be more of an instruction he is being given than an actual personal fault) however up to 2-0 I though he was good. I'm not sure how anybody can find too much room to be negative about him on today's performance when you consider he's coming off a long lay off. Possibly his best performance for us so far although I know for most that really isn't saying much.

This, it's one of his key strengths yet we didn't see any of it in his first few months here, especially that City game which just passed him by.

Good performance from him. Did all the simple things effectively. Hopefully we will see him alongside Carrick for more games this season. Today he pushed forward quite a lot and it became obvious he was asked to, probably because we all knew how deep Palace would play. However, when we play teams who will come out at us then I'd like to see Carrick and Fellaini sit deep, as they did for parts of today and let the front four do their thing - obviously supported as and when.

I've been told he has been decent for Belgium playing in a similar position. I agree he has had a rocky start to his career here for a variety of reasons, but if Evra (and Vidic) were anything to go by, he just needs time. I mean Evra had an absolute mare against citeh in his debut. Look what he went on to achieve. Im sure Fellaini can do similar because he clearly has the ability to do so.

Thought he was fairly alright today. This guy will work out as a useful player for us.

Still can't imagine a title-winning level midfield with him as a starter though.

Good. Showed promise. A gazillion times better than the first half of the season.

As an aside, the team actually looked like a team.

Maybe that injury was playing on his mind a bit? anyway, it's great to see him show off some of his biggest qualities today, hopefully he kicks on from here now.

He was decent today and hopefully will play like this on the next matches.

Superb tonight considering the circumstances (first game back from injury, etc).

I have no doubt that he'll continue to blossom here over the next three months, go away and have a good World Cup and come back in August full of confidence for next season.
