He was probably our best player bar Rafael without his 3 yellows

Fellaini was most likely one of the only players alongside Januzaj and Rooney that actually showed some fight today.

Play him as lone striker. We would be far more dangerous than the impotent, boring, uninspiring shit we have witnessed all year.

Pointless player. Have no idea how we plan on winning a titles with someone like him as one of our main midfielders. He's just a waste of money. Him being one of our better players today shows you how far we've fallen. Just sell this joke and get in midfielders who can actually do the job, this is getting ridiculous. 27 million for what exactly? Someone that can't do anything productive with Pointless player. Jesus, some of you can't help yourselves. Always the same posters as well.

Awful performance from the team but Fellaini is one of the last who should be criticised today.

The team was awful, however, Fellaini was a big part of that problem.

He won tackles and did stuff, he's far better than any of our other midfielders. Limited but he'll do a job.

I've no real problem with Fellaini. He was outnumbered today, I'm not sure what else he could have done.Nor anyone else for that matter. We must stop blaming the players or assuming that these performances are some kind of a freak of nature accident whereby everyone has an off-day all at the same time and start looking at the system that's delivering these performances.

He was alright today, and certainly not the real problem out there. By nature, people on here will criticise him but the reality is that he was one of our better players and generally did what was asked of him in breaking up the play here and there.

He was incredibly nervous for the first 20 minutes or so, but that's understandable.

It's the same people talking shit about him who were nowhere to be seen against WBA or CP, same old bullshit being spouted even before the match starts.

He's done better than most of the team, which is still pretty bad considering the score. Was ok in the first half, probably one of the better players, I feel that we've lost the match as soon as it was 2-0, everybody got their heads down and waited to get fecked. Vidić's red was such nial wow to the coffin.

Considering that he's been playing alongside Michael Copperfield Carrick against 3 men Liverpool, he's really done ok. He's not the problem, our front four being utter gash and defence being a ticking bomb is the problem.

What times have come when I can say that 'midfield' is not the biggest problem

For me personally it's more the fact he symbolises everything we should have been moving away from this season and going forward. He did ok in his personal battles but there's just no place for him against a team like that.

I don't think he was really.

The team couldn't create chances, Rooney, Mata, Van Persie and Januzaj didn't link up and we just weren't a threat in possession but Fellaini won't fix that - he should never be the one we look to create chances or make something happen offensively.

In his role he did fine, he made 9 tackles in 75 minutes of football and really pressed Liverpool in possession at times. In that role it's hard to criticise him today.

It wasn't his best game because he can do more with the ball at it his feet, he isn't just a hatchet man and can actually play football. That link up wasn't there today which is why I would never say he had a great game, but he was decent with the ball and certainly did well off it.

Not sure why Fellaini is taking flak today. Imo he tried to break up play and his passes were in general forward looking.

It was a decent performance in a sea of crap.

He played way too forward for a holding midfielder and isolated Carrick, and had Mata covering his space on occasions.

Not to be blamed obviously but he's just part of the problem. Just isn't good enough to start at United. Decent squad player long term, that's it. Too slow and cumbersome on the ball and off of it. 2 decent games against relegation candidates doesn't change it.

Agreed 100 percent.

He put in a lot of work and did everything he could today, won some good tackles and made some decent little passes. Him and Matt lost the ball one or twice but they were trying to take responsibility unite Rooney and rvp

Almost as pointless as your existence in this thread it seems. I don't see your presence in the threads of other players like Vidic or Carrick.

Thats funny, seeing as I've posted about both those players today. But do carry on.

Who was better than him today then? People are confused as to what his role is as it has been repeated by drones that he is a target man behind the striker. He is a box to box midfielder, one that excels in the defensive aspect. He was a good presence for us today in midfield and if he wasn't in our midfield today Liverpool would have ripped us to shreds (which they did in terms of the scoreline and play but not how Liverpool normally dominate in the centre). Get someone next to him that isn't a fairy and can dictate play and he will get praise from the commentators and reporters and then the rest of the sheep will follow.

Good lord.
