So, he can be decent, eh? :)
Just need to sort of clumsiness and try to be little more mobile. That one second delay in passing from him sometime is crucial and irritating. Good game today though.

Best game for United today. Needs to sort out his clumsiness.
what clumsiness? he is very well poised with the ball. Does not seem harried. Seems more comfortable while moving and turning with the ball than any other CM in our team(including carrick). He has a good touch.
The run where he should have gotten a penalty seemed clumsy cause Nocerino ran into him, then he got pulled back by collins and was eventually tripped by nocerino. Was fouled thrice hard to be elegant there. Some smaller players who are really strong are able to not be clumsy in those situations, but that's cause of the size. Fellaini can't sort that out, he is tall, can't be helped :-)

Again played well today. Not spectacular still, but he's becoming a growing influence in our team which is what you want to see from our midfielders. Seemed to always be in the right place defensively.

Another decent outing from him, looks a good player, just needs to try harder sorting out his needless barging & pushes.

best game to date - nothing fancy, simply did the job. Agreed with the poster who said that he plays better in a midfield without carrick.

One thing that I discovered about him recently is that he is comfortable with short quick passes in tight areas which is very pleasing I must say. Needs to cut out the needless fouling though. Good match from him today.

Good performance from him today. He was pivotal to our successful approach in dealing with West Ham's aerial threats.

Slowly but surely improving with each contest. Been a long time since we have seen someone truly go from box to box.

He obviously enjoys quick passes and looks a much better player when offered multiple passing options.

I thought that he was fantastic today, up and down the pitch, he was everywhere and his passing was very tidy. Could have easily scored twice too.

It was a dive. Do you really think that little push could make anyone fall?

Fellaini pushes h

He won 3 out of 17 headers, Mata, Kagawa and Fletcher all had a better pass accuracy (+10%).

Good performance again. Though he is always going to be one of those players who is ridiculed for his price tag.

One of those silly fouls is going to result in a goal one day though, needs to cut it out. We let Scholesy off for it because he was a genius but Fellaini cannot be afforded that luxury!

I don't think we'll ever see him eradicate the stupid fouls from behind, its genuinely part of his game and we should probably accept it. He is a dirty player. But on a more positive note I was impressed with him today. He was everywhere, which was refreshing to see. We haven't had a box to box midfielder like that in yonks. He completely annulled Carroll.

I'm a huge Fellaini fan
I love the cut of Felliaini's gib.

He'll be a cult hero here.

This page will be fun to re-read come season's end.

Go and watch the match when Everton beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in that F.A Cup replay. Fellaini was sensational in midfield; Chelsea, arguably possessing the toughest midfield in England at the time, had no answer to him. He genuinely was that good. That game was also a good three seasons ago, so the evidence that he's a quality defensive-midfielder has always been there.

Yep. He was highly rated at Liege, too. Fair play to Moyes for taking a chance on him (from Everton's point-of-view). He was terrific for them. Here's hoping he'll begin to show what a good player he is for us soon.

Best player on the pitch.

Typical moany cnuts won't credit him whatsoever as he's "Moyes' boy". Never known bitterness like it.
and am thrilled to see he's now convincing may others of his quality.

He'll be a raving success here when all's said and done.

Nice stats for a holding MF today. Led team in tackles, recoveries, clearances and take-ons. Also led team in fouls-not great, but still, very solid in his role. Even provided some spark going forward a few times.

People will always find flaws. If the balls in the air, you have to go for it. Now, is it his fault he's taller then most players? It might be wiser not to jump, but then you still get given a foul against you. There isn't much you can do but hope for a ref who shows a bit of common sense. In years gone by we probably would have conceded. He helped Jones and Carrick and we got a clean sheet. It was a sensible tactic by Moyes but some choose to nit
pick.

You need to put challenges in. Some you win some you lose. It could be argued other players don't put enough challenges in and so we've had games with players finding it very easy to carve our midfield open. West Ham created very little today. He defended well and should have grabbed himself a goal. He kept the play ticking over. West ham weren't good but this was one of our better performances this season. We showed good ability

I don't actually give a shit about him fouling West Ham players. He was decent today. Not the standard of player I feel we needed, that hasn't changed, but he's here now and he's contributing better than early in the season. Decent.

I knew he was comfortable with ball at his feet but never knew he'd be this skilful. He's pretty good at working himself out of tight situations. He's been good since his comeback from injury and importantly seems to be gradually improving with every game.

Played well although he is a foul machine

He's a bit of Roy Keane in him, but what's wrong with a bit of grit and presence? I think that it's just what we need when you look at how brittle Cleverly and Carrick can be.

I wince seeing him in our shirt, he just looks like he belongs in the team of the opposing manager today, he "does a job" as the saying goes, but I just don't think he's long term material to build a midfield on for Manchester United.

Classic game to play him in. Against a team of clogging scufflers. Ideal really.

It's against the skilful quick teams it's ugly.

Another decent game for Fellaini, in my opinion. Was a massive boost to have in the box against a physical West Ham side, who were always going to try and find big Andy Carroll.

I still think we'll see the best out of Fellaini when he just sits, however, it's good to see him mixing up his game and getting forward. Made a good few runs into the box today, again. Was unlucky not to have a goal after the decent run he made late on in the game.

Rather he just does a job or not, it still looked like a better job than what Cleverly and Carrick have served up this season.

Tries to make it difficult and gets stuck in. We needed that.

We have to ignore the price now, he's part of the process to improve the midfield.

He definitely adds something to the team when he is playing like he did today but he has yet to put in a big performance against a top team so I am sure we will go 3 in midfield against City but if he is nothing but a bystander in midfield against City then the knives will be out again....he badly needs a goal to make him really feel like he belongs here

Never been a fan of Fellaini as a United player, but credit where it's due, that was his best performance in a United shirt.

I thought he and Fletcher as a pair did really well to ensure we had a good platform today.

The solution to have Carrick start at CB with Fellaini shuttling between CM and CB was a welcome tactical innovation too - credit to Moyes, that was a curveball that worked brilliantly. It was the reason Carrick had such an assured afternoon - he was allowed to focus on mopping up and building from the back.

oh look, people starting to realize he's actually a good player when not injured and given a run of games.

Shocking that someone who showed power and class for Everton and regularly gets into a talent laden Belgium side should manage to be half decent for us.

Still looks a little leggy and is still playing within himself I think, but has looked better and better since coming back from his wrist injury. I'd be starting him every game for the rest of the season.
