I reckon he will mainly be used as a sitting midfielder with Carrick to provide steel. Then either Kagawa, Cleverley or even Rooney slightly ahead of them further up the pitch where they can create chances. It will work.

To be fair its the same smile I had when I met my non United friends the day after the transfer deadline had passed.
Imagining this scene cracked me up, lawl.
Can see his friends taunting him and him with that Moyes face right there.

Reckon hes going to be a vital player in Europe for us.

If you look teams that have won it over the last few years, all played with specialist DM. Not to mention the huge goal threat he adds from set pieces.

Now we just need to sign Rory Delap and Barca wont know what hit'em.

One thing that is impressive about him is the way he is so composed once he's made a pass and moves into forward positions, he doesn't lose his head or act rashly. He has a certain arrogance to him on the ball and I think we've missed that in our midfield.

I'd say he's been fortunate not to have been booked or red carded more often as I've seen him be rash on a number of occasions. Nevertheless as you say he does have that arrogance about him that on his day he can be unplayable. That alone can only be to the benefit of our team

Rash in terms of tackles, oh he's definitely capable of that and has a nasty streak. I was solely discussing his attacking merits, ie he doesn't make rash passes in the final third, he's very head up and relaxed... hence why he gets goals from midfield. the way he lazily passes the ball around even in that vid for Belgium, you can tell the lad has character and is confident that opponents will have to work hard to knock him off the ball while it is at his feet.

He's definitely going to improve our stats this year anyway, we'll be top of the Red Cards list for sure.

So what sort of personality is he? Is he someone who is going to be confident in himself for the get go or could he have some issues early on ?

Going by ESPN stats, he's only had four since 06. If they're accurate, he would even crack into our 2nd choice card collectors.

Hmm, I expected more from him to be honest. How about yellow cards? Surely he can amass a few of those for us at least.

There was once a story about him begging the women of Liverpool to leave him alone, said they desired him because of his hair.

This is also a reason why people dont like him as fckin ridiculous as it sounds.

He's like Samson, losing the hair would make him half the player.. it gives him presence on the pitch, I'd prefer he keeps it or dyes it red like Ronald McDonald.

He should get a haircut , he looks like a clown .
He'd look weirder without the hair, just look at Olly's chop job.

57 in all competitions, 13 last season. He'll be able to cover for Scholes there, easily. Couple of seasons he's had less than 10, which is ok, I suppose.

Also, yes he's very composed in the buildup. Just links up well with teammates and plays passes into people in good areas with minimal fuss, then usually makes a run forward to support whoever has the ball and offer himself again. Its simple stuff but he's very good at it

He should afro-texturise it. Give him that extra advantage.

If Arsenal had bought him you wouldn't be hearing half the haters

If you listen to some idiots you'd think we were going to start playing long ball football, start playing in blu and rename the Stretford end the Gladys St end

Very goid signing, lets just make sure we get a playmaker next summer

I think we've missed someone who can carry the ball from midfield at all. Isn't that basically the only reason why Anderson gets games, because he's capable of carrying the ball forwards rather than look to pass it as soon as he receives it? Shame Ando isn't better in other aspects, but hopefully Fellaini can do this while also being solid defensively.

 spell check on my iPad does it because my wife's first name is only one letter different from Christiano, I remembered to change the letter but forgot to delete the h.
Your wife's name is Christian?

Phurry you're being very allusive about your 'wifes' name
