And yet the only people you will find that disagree with this is a portion of United fans. Everyone else can see this clear and day. It's kind of cute that some people will argue for Ole until they're blue in the mouth.
It's really just a loud minority who have have somehow talked themselves into believing its an actual debate.

It’s simple to understand why the poster got back 15 years. All he could probably remember was you only posting negative stuff and wanted to double check if this was indeed the case. And I am not surprised at all by his finding.
This is so weird. “His finding” you know. feck me. Who cares? I never even remember posters names, I find it weird that so many on here do.

Even if he is a “glass half empty” fan, thats his right. There is no right or wrong way to support a football team.

Also for those saying “this is a shit Barca team” Ole would’ve parked the bus & played for a 0-0.

Okay...

So Pochettino!!!

 Well it’s hard not to remember posters’ names aka drama queens if their posts make up around 15 % of certain threads.

That's true. I honestly feel like some here seem to be on a mission to prove that all other managers are worse than Ole or something.
And similarly some here are on a mission to prove Ole is the worst thing that happened to United. It depends on what irritates others the most.

I couldn’t tell you one members username off the top of my head, other than yours since it’s right in front of me, and will be forgotten the moment I press send.

He's not. He's done pretty well, in fact, and laid a solid foundation for the next manager. But this is the furthest Ole can take us - considering he's never managed a top club before, he's not done the worst job. I wish him well but it's exhausting seeing him getting so much time despite his obvious limitations and the constant one step forward, two steps back as it's stopping us from getting quality managers in - some of who are far superior to Ole and who are moving on to other clubs. We dithered with Guardiola and Klopp, I feel we have done the same with Pochettino too. With Ole, he is not getting another gig in England after we eventually part ways. We do deserve better.

Has anyone really said this "literally"? That he's the worst thing that ever happened for the club? Either this an exaggeration or said by someone on my ignore list so that means they are probably trolls.

Some here are really annoyed by the idea some people believe the likes of Poch, Nagelsmann or whatever are better than Ole and have decided to camp in their threads whenever they lose to mock them and prove they are shit.

It's funny, because before Ole came, Poch was pretty much the Caf darling and the one example people kept using to prove that you don't need money to succeed. Ole came and the view has changed 180 degrees and some decided to go on a mission to prove he's worse than Ole, same for Nagelsmann, same for most other "hipster" managers people are now calling them. All this because some think these might be good enough for United in the future or better than Ole.

Fair point. The issue is we have missed out on Poch because of the bad timing. I don't see the board sacking Ole at the end of the season unless we blow the top 4.

There are a small minority who seem to desperately want Poch to fail but their league form has picked up and they're looking sharp. Feel they were always going to beat this shell of a Barca team though so not sure what to read into tonight's win. I did stick some money on them to win the CL once he came in given how weak the big European teams look right now but he'll need to avoid Pep and Flick.

Have you not seeing the trolling and abuse Ole gets. The point is both sides of extremists are guilty of saying some shit things. Ole is not better than poch and neither is he a PE teacher who doesn't know a thing about coaching.

The only thing they've proven is that they would be terrible at running a corner shop, let alone a football club. Simply looking for a manager better than our current one is exactly how we got here in the first place. Moyes wasn't good enough, so we went and got LVG who was better than him. Then when he failed, we went and got Mourinho who was better than him. At least they had the decency to be quiet or stay away when things were going well.

Ole didn’t park the bus against Neymar and Mbappe. PSG only beat us once.

Hasn't Poch also lost to 2 teams near the bottom of the French league in recent weeks though? You know just for balance....

This Barca team is finished. It's been finished for a while. And PSG got to the final last season without Poch FFS. Let's pretend that never happend though eh?
Just the 1 loss.

No matter who, all teams lose the odd game. PSG winning Ligue 1 is a given.

Poch’s appointment is all about winning the CL.

Great manager finally managing a great team.

I've seen PSG play a few times this season (pre Poch) and they're also a lot weaker than they have been on previous years. I know Barca aren't the same but PSG aren't either and are very reliant on Mbappe and Neymar. Earlier in the season I saw their defence being ripped apart by a crap French team. This was just after we beat them in the first group game.

Is it too much to ask to all agree that Ole has proven himself a good manager with some floors and question marks, and Poch has proven himself a great manager that if we hadn't backed Ole, would be a great candidate for the United job? No? Ok never mind.

Wouldn't that be too sensible to expect from people in caf.

Would obviously happily take Pochettino over Ole given that's what this discussion seems to be about.

However this result doesn't mean much for Pochettino's PSG. They played a terrible Barcelona team who despite some good recent results were ripe for a spanking.

You could always, ya know, just accept that other people have opinions that are different from yours. I know its the internet, and thats like against the rules or something. But, ya know, we could give it a bash.

Poch camp is coming out again.

Ole had impressive results against the big teams too, but of course, the amount of disrespect or agenda saying it was counter attacking or park the bus is always there.

Beat imploding Barcelona 4-1? Impressive. Let's move on.

I agree. You should make a thread about it and ask why kiss asses from Poch camp coming out now.

not surprised, when people starts listening to me on here, there will be a realization that what I am saying makes a lot of sense. I understand that what I am saying might be farfetched At times and get me banned, but I have tons of belief in what I am saying.

Pochettino is up there alongside Klopp and pep as the best manager in football right now. United missed out on not pursuing him and it will definitely hurt us, if we don’t get it right in our next managerial selection.

My god...how?

I know that this victory for PSG doesn’t mean much because this is a truly poor Barca side. However I still think we missed out on a Klopp/Pep level talent manager-wise. Would absolutely love to be proven wrong.

We're playing Sociedad on Thursday. Just a reminder
Legend says it used to be a place where a legendary football manager first learned his Spanish lesson. Took him 1 day to speak fluent Spanish, 2 days and he began translating old Spanish Novels.

City made a beeline for Pep when he was still at Barca I think - so credit where it's due for the insane long term vision. I think Fergie tried to sound him out about potentially taking the Utd job but that went nowhere. We could've gotten Klopp and it irritates me to no end that we haven't. I remember the days when Klopp's Dortmund were the second team for a lot of people because they were so good to watch.

Even now, it's unclear what we want the club to look like beyond tenuous ideas of promoting youth and being successful. I think any vision can be made to work, it's just the pragmatic one, drifting between styles and managers, sort of like what Chelsea do is the hardest to sustainably pull off. We went from Moyes (?? - Can setup good defensive units) -> LVG (Possession based football) -> Jose (almost the exact opposite in terms of pressing / passing) -> Ole (a balanced manager whose strength lies in setting up solid counter attacking units).

Jose -> Ole was probably the most reasonable transition stylistically.

Of course we did. Not sure Poch is even close to this two though.

Yeah, Poch camp is out again on Poch thread. While Ole currently has 10 threads of "support" where some posters are desperate to convince others how he is excellent manager for United. We beat someone; new thread how Ole is great. We lose; new thread how everything is ok, don't panic, Ole is great.

Aww look how hurt this guy is over other managers.

Very cute.

How come people didnt come out when he lost against the minor French team?

"Its okay, everyone loses".

They beat a Koeman's Barcelona - who is an ex everton manager

"This is the next Klopp or Pep"

feck me, you can like Poch without having to always pitch him against Ole.

Some of you are so damn tiresome, you’ll do anything to play down Poch because somehow that legitimises Ole in your heads.
Poch is clearly a very very good manager and he’ll continue to have a very good career, deal with it.

Yes that's what he was doing - pitching him up against Ole. I wasnt the first to bring him up. Funny how when things become irritating people go completely to two opposite sides.

Was so tiresome aswell.

I'm loving how much our manager is making some fans uncomfortable  another top 4 result this season and hopefully we improve the squad. Nothing more and nothing less.

Koeman's Barcelona

Let me guess he is better than Ole too?

It goes both ways though doesn’t it? Hence why this thread was bumped last night and posters making digs. I mean the post he quoted is literally wanging on about Ole.

Agree with the rest of it, he’s a great coach.
