Villa are showing more ambition at the start of this second half. Hopefully that means United will be able to find some space on the counter attack.
 
Giggs runs with the ball about 50 yards from deep in his half, but does not release it quick enough and is tackled.

Evra has been injured
 
Barry finds Milner out wide, who beats Evra and sends in a great cross, which Vidic does well to clear. Ball then finds its way to Agbonlahor out on the right, who puts in another good ball which United just about manage to clear.
 
Evra is down injured. Neither side interested in putting the ball out of play. Eventually Chris Foy takes matters into his own hands and stops play.
 
Evra was caught right on the knee by Sidwell, probably worthy of a card; Looks like he will be OK though
 
Clash of heads between Sidwell and Rio. Both players get up soon enough.
 
Ferdinand is now down injured but back up after an intentional elbow by Sidwell
 
Tevez clips Ashley Young's ankles. Free kick out wide for Villa. Great position for Young to swing it in. He does but United clear and counter through Ronaldo out on the left, who does very well to win a corner.

Agbonlahor takes on Vidic on the counter attack, and breaks into the box. Vidic makes a great tackle to disposses him, amid huge appeals for a penalty.
 
Rubbish rubbish decision by Foy, giving Barry a free kick out on the right, after Ronaldo shoulders him off it.
 
Awful call by the linesman who calls a foul on ronaldo who was just standing his ground

Saying that, Park wins another free kick about 35 yards out.
 
Ronaldo is not happy with the wall, and you can understand why! They were about 6 yards away for goodness sake. Wise up Mr. Foy.

Carrick plays in Rooney with a beautiful ball over his head, he delays his shot, before smashing a shot over. Horrible effort, he really should have scored.

Linesman is taking the piss now to be honest. Vidic steps across Milner to shield the ball and he calls for a foul. Kindly feck off.

Villa have men forward but it is wasted by Barry over the bar cross/shot
 
United counter attack through Ronaldo, who finds Rooney on the left. His cross field ball finds Tevez, who hits a poor cross that is cleared. Villa counter, and Barry smacks a shot that is swerving all over the place. High and wide though.
 
Tevez's backheel finds Ronaldo on the right, who works the space for a cross, which is headed behind. Corner to United.

Sidwell acting as though he has a head injury in the box to get the ref to stop play
 
Villa clear the corner and try to counter. Park makes a good tackle though and breaks forward. The ball finds its way out to Giggs on the right. It is now that Foy decides to stop play for Sidwell to receive treatment for a head injury. You can bet your house on it that he wouldn't have, if Villa had countered successfully.
 
Rio smacks a pass straight out of play, and then proceeds to shout at his team mates.

Carrick finds a pocket of space outside the area and tries to slip Rooney in, but it is cut out. United attack again and Ronaldo has a shot deflected out for a corner.

Ronaldo was completely unmarked for the corner there. Unfortunately the ball was cleared before it reached him.
 
Ronaldo is playing through the middle now.
 
Giggs slips a pass into Park out on the right, who hits a rubbish cross straight at Friedel.
 
Villa counter attack and Agbonlahor slips Young through, who hits a good low shot, which VDS does well to hold. Ronaldo is down injured.
