Huge chance for Villa! Milner beats O'Shea all ends up and gets to the byline. His cut back is just cleared by Vida and Rio amid a mass of bodies. O'Shea then completes the clearance. United then counter, but Nani sends a poor cross straight out of play.

United buil patiently before Nani swings a great cross in, which is just cleared by Davies with Rooney and Giggs lurking. Another cross by Carrick, and Rooney heads off the defender to win a corner. Comes to nothing, but United win back possession

Nothing comes of it, apart from a penalty appeal from United for a hand ball on Barry. Was off his chest though.

Draw is a fair result really. Villa defended reasonably well, but United were just not good enough in my opinion. Entertaining game though.
 
United probably deserved the win, but overall they didnt create enough chances. A draw isnt the worst result as Villa will probably take points off our rivals, but this was a wasted oppurtunity to close the gap to a theoretical 3 points
