Minute by Minute: Manchester United vs West Ham

West Ham win a free kick on the right wing. Cross comes in but is cleared by United. They attack on the counter but Tevez is fouled on the half way line.
 
Free kick to West Ham about twenty yards out wide right of the box. Rio clears it smartly.
 
Rooney picks the ball up in space out on the left. Cuts inside and is encouraged to shoot by the crowd. He does so from fully 30 yards, and Green does well to beat it away.
 
Rooney with another curling shot that goes over, he wants that goal
 
Rooney is then picked out by Carrick, and tries a curler from the edge of the area. Over the bar.
 
Gary Neville set to come on.
 
Faubert crosses twice from the right and both times the ball is cleared by Vidic. United counter and Collins fouls Ronaldo on the left wing, and picks up a booking for his efforts.

Rafael now off for Neville. 80 minutes played.
 
West ham are now causing us some trouble.

Rafael off, Neville the Captain of Manchester United is coming on.
 
Carrick picks out Ronaldo in acres of space on the left wing, but he is called for offside. Ronaldo very upset with himself there as he had the whole line to look across.
 
Illunga crosses into the box, cleared by Evra. United counter but are stopped by the retreating Hammers defence.
 
West Ham swing a couple of crosses into the box. Both are cleared and United counter through Rooney, who finds Berbatov out on the left. His attempted pass to Ronaldo is cut out though.
 
West Ham are trying to attack United, but are being dealt with comfortably.
 
Carrick goes for a sliding tackle, nearly succeeds.

Anderson goes in for one, misses the player and the ball completely
 
United pass the ball around. Neville slides a pass to Rooney down the line who crosses. Easily dealt with though. Game is winding down now really.
 
West Ham play a ball over the top, for Di Michele to run onto. He tries a cut back when he really should have shot. Evra attempted an acrobatic bicycle kick clearance to cut out the pass but missed the ball completely.
 
Di Michele was running with space but instead of shooting he tried to square it and Vidic intercepted.
 
Ronaldo and Evra link up brilliantly, and exchange passes about 4 times. Ronaldo gets a shot away on the edge of the box, but Green saves. West Ham go up the other end, and Faubert picks out Bellamy on the edge of the box, who sends his volley out of the stadium.
 
Evra with another trademark surging run forward. plays a one two with Ronaldo whos shot is straight at Green
 
Rooney, Tevez and Berbatov all link up. Rooney gets a shot away, but it is blocked by Collins. Ronaldo hangs a cross up to the far post, but it is headed back to Green.
 
Rooney outmuscles Faubert near our corner flag and wins a free kick. He then proceeds to flick the ball up and juggle it with his chest, heel and shoulder. "Rooney, Rooney, Rooney" rings out around Old Trafford.
 
Full time 2-0 to us, a forgettable half. Good Carrick has returned though
 
United in cruise control in the second half, and never really tried to punish West Ham. Like FlawlessThaw said, game was over at 30 minutes really.
 
To conclude, this game will only really be remembered for Berbatov's lovely bit of skill in setting up Ronaldo's second. Ronaldo looked like his usual self tonight at times and Nani was quite flashy too. Fletcher dominated the game for us in the middle.
