Mourinho or Pogba?

If it was an either/or situation, who would you rather United keep?

Jesus Christ. What has Pogba done? If he doesn't adjust his attitude he can honestly go f himself whilst we forgo catering to some frivolous offers from "more than a club".

Let's see if Pogba can have a full season of professionalism and honest application.

What the feck has Mourinho done apart from boring our tits off for the last 2 seasons?

He hasn't played like it because our team is setup to play appalling football. Pogba was great for France, and great for juventus. Its not just Pogba, its the same story for many of our players. They play well so we buy them, then they turn to shit. Our future would look far brighter with Pogba at the club and a manager who brings the best out of him, than it would without Pogba and miserable Mourinho still here. My only concern is only ever what's best for United, and Mourinho is not good for us.

Not defending Mourinho, but Deschamps used Pogba very similarly to how Mourinho does mostly.

Though there is a difference of personnel involved as well of course.

It’s like a proper civil war these days

Mourinho and Ed are Iron man and Captain America. Martial is Bucky. Need to find an identity for Pogba now

Some of the usual people seem genuinly giddy about this to have a good old moan

Didn't Pogba? Pogba scored a goal in the Europa League final, how many did Mourinho score again?
I can't believe you actually just said that

Who actually came up with the tactics? Who lead the team to these trophies? Who had to all the behind the scenes activities and in game decisions on the touchline? So now Mourinho is just a shit manager who wins because his players play well in spite of him. Well shit, I didn't know that.

Yeh, let's keep a player who's seemingly main priority is what his hair looks like and only turns up when he feels like it, in preference for the 2nd most successful manager in PL history.

At the risk of a drawn out boring back and forth of polarising opinions taking more time than it's worth, IMV, he halted the steep decline, brought in quality players and then stagnated at a level 3-4 years ago we would have gladly taken. But that's not my issue here, my issue is how can Pogba, a player who really is mostly all show and little substance be this world class player we need to build the team around and just find a manager who understands him? It's as pathetic as the Neymar situation at PSG, only Pogba is not Neymar, he's a lesser player and he buys so hard into his own image of himself that he may never actually become world class however talented he is.

I did not vote for Jose cause I think it's pretty pointless as a question, but this team Pogba thing is an absolute cringe.

Tactics?!!! Park the bus!! I can create them tactics! Wingers don’t pass the half way line.

Seriously though. If it’s Mourinho v Pogba.. on your bike Mourinho go manage Monaco.

People forget Beckham always wanted the limelight and changed his hair as much as Pogba, perhaps Pogba is sick of playing under the boring shite Mourinho has us playing, can't say I blame him when I look at our rivals, we won't be going anywhere with this brand of miserable football and he will enter an important stage in his career. He did it at Juventus, and now he's done it for France, but apparently everyone here just thinks he can't be bothered and turns up when he wants for United which is stupid lets be honest, or is it perhaps it's because there's one major difference in these scenarios.

We don't need to find a manager to suit him. We just need to find a good manager, because Pogba's record outside of United (including Juventus & France) now reads as a player who's been instrumental in teams winning multiple league titles, making champions league finals, european cup finals and world cup winners. Under 3 different managers he's looked a better player, than he has under Mourinho (Conte, Allegri and Deschamps). And Pogba is world class - his record so far shows that. The only blip on his record has been while playing for Jose Mourinho.

I'm not suggesting we find a manager to build a team around Pogba. If we get a good manager, I think Pogba himself (along with the other good players we have at the club) will become as instrumental for us as for the other managers he's played for.

How is playing for Barcelona the same as moving to play for PSG. You’ll have to explain this one. Neymar left a club that had arguably the best player in the world having won La Liga and the champions league to go to a pub league. Pogba would be leaving the Europa league champions.

One of the very best midfielders in the world or a manager who's past it? tough one!

Him blowing hot and cold for the last two years = Mourinho is clueless? It doesn't speak at all to Pogba's mentality? I see Pogba as Peter Pan. He doesn't want to grow up and take responsibility. I'm not defending everything Jose says or does either. But he's not the reason for Pogba carrying on his teenage mentality.

Imagine choosing an underperforming (albeit potentially great) player over the fecking manager of the club!!!

Absolutely Pogba

We have seen the level of performances he can produce at the World Cup. Mourinho's job is to get the best out of him and he's failing to do so.

If Pogba was under a Zidane, Poch, Klopp, Pep or any other top level manager he'd be in the top ten category of best players in the world.

Good lord he state of some threads on here. Redcafe is a dark, dark place right now. I’m imagining it like Isengard and all the posters are orcs and José is Saruman, telling us to rip down the trees which represent positivity. Yes I’ve had a bit to drink.

It's all binary is it.....he has, and now he's past it! looool
He's stablised us if nothing else.

I'm not criticising his desire to play for Barca. And I wasn't criticising Neymar for joining PSG. I was comparing the situation to the utter self-centredness of Neymar at PSG where he had to control everything and people had to swallow that shite.

Well on the reverse who the hell has played well for Mourinho.

Why wasn't he blowing hot and cold for Juventus? Why is his mentality only questioned while playing for Mourinho?

This was never an issue. Then we got a sociopath of a manager and cult of his fans, who've basically slung shit at anything and everyone to do with the club to deflect blame from himself. And this has fuelled into Pogba apparently being someone who doesn't give a shit about his football.

I voted Pogba over Mourinho mainly because I have more faith in the talent of Pogba and and his effect on the team will be bigger even without Mourinho, than a Mourinho team without Pogba. I think... Hoping both Pogba and Mourinho will get a long this season to give us a trophy or two.

Not sure how this is even up for discussion, can't really fathom how anyone could back Mourinho here if it came down to this

It's one way of looking at it I guess. If ever this club needed some strong management in it's recent history it is now.

What an absurd poll. Pogba just came off winning a World Cup and Mourinho has come off a horrible pre season. Why not wait till Pogba has his inevitable horrible 3-5 games and make this poll?
