Mourinho vs. Conte: "I've never been suspended for match fixing"

That was dreadful. We just need a "come at me bro!" from Conte to finish it off.

Jose has clearly won this  but he needs to stfu now and concentrate on cementing 2nd place.

I'd much prefer if he kept goading Conte AND cemented 2nd place. :D
Personally though, I feel that Jose should've kicked this off about 2 weeks before the MUFC vs CFC game. I think this has come too early.
The weird thing is that Klopp did not take the bait. He kept quiet and has completely dodged the "clown" comment. He played it smart.

:lol::lol::lol:

Bring on the wine and mince pies, Maureen! (albeit somewhat late)

Isn't that what LVG talked about, when the journalists were all predicting LVG was a dead man walking and about to be sacked (but ultimately survived 5 months, before getting the sack)?
"Enjoy your wine and mince pies", is what LVG told the journalists, before walking off during a press conference.

Well, Conte is pretty much a dead man walking. I doubt he'll last the whole season without an emotional break-down.

Talks about being insulted, then goes on an insulting rant, even threatening Mourinho on meeting face to face next game.

The clown didn't even respond to the match fixing comment, he didn't say he cleared of it or he wasn't wrong at this time or anything to clear his picture. He just went on a rant as a cry baby.

When Mourinho said the clown comments without mentioning names he took it fully on himself and insulted Jose of having senile dementia, so proved he's already a clown, and when being accused of corrupted he also went on a rant and insulted Jose of being a little man, so proved he's already corrupted. The corrupted clown it's then. He doesn't even defend himself just keep insulting Mourinho.

Just the new puppet of the media and Jose is moving him exactly as he wants.

Sadly he'll be gone in summer so we won't enjoy that beyond this season.

The whole feud is good fun to be honest. Adds some extra spice to any upcoming fixtures.

As if now both managers keep quiet then City wouldn't run away with the league this season. Wait the whole thing start with Mourinho being questioned about his passion. He just responded his way to begin with.

I don’t care who responded to what. The whole thing is childish and cringeworthy. And yes it is a distraction to the team. How he handles his pressers is distracting to the squad especially at a time when the season could derail and we could easily end up outside top 4. Forget Pep, he at least needs to focus on getting us a cushion at the 2nd spot. I’m not sure spending time thinking about his response to Conte is the best use of his time.

This is what is fun nowadays? Petty name calling like little children? I cannot believe that either club havent stepped in to end this feud.

Wait. He said Jose had senile dementia and is now complaining that Jose is being offensive?

What a Conte

It's nothing new in football management. Keegan's maniacal rant against us in 96 can be classed under the same category. As can Benitez' facts rant. Or Mourinho arriving in England and proclaiming himself the 'special one'. Or the spats between Mourinho and Wenger. Obviously what happens on the pitch continues to (and always should) take precedence but some childish antics off the pitch are fairly harmless. Both managers know they're playing it up for the cameras.

Hating someone doesn't mean you feel targeted by comments that do not concern you I'm sorry. Conte showed to be a big baby here.

Don’t disagree. But Conte biting on the bait just shows how much he hates Mou. And Mou pouring on more gas with the match fixing comment is another example of these guys not being able to stop being semi professional about it. Because they simply hate each other. That’s my point. Conte is a c**t no doubt. Mou doesn’t look good either.

You are right dude, has a bit of WWF feel to it...

Mourinho has nothing to be blamed of. Better blame the clown who took a quote on himself even though the quote didn't even mention his name.

All Mourinho comments have been cleverly constructed. The Italian clown is the one who keeps going on a rant every single time and it's actually funny to watch.

And if we're in danger of missing top 4 so Jose should keep calm, then surely, surely the team behind us should be worry of that as well and their manager should stop going on a rant ?

Conte is the conspiracy theory personified. He believes everything is aimed at him it's quite funny.

Why are people so touchy these days? Childish & cringeworthy? So if I am calling you name when you didn't do anything wrong to me, you would just shut up and pretend nothing happen? If you can take heed what you preach let ask mods for permission. I think many posters want to throw some insult at you to test ;)

Already explained so please bother to read and think. SAF over the year picked on fight even when we ain't in good position. Reason? Eliminating any opposition is always good. Then you can focus on less opposition.

The whole "oh I am not the best so I will withdraw until someday where I am top of the world, then I talk" is actually small time thinking. The next defeat and you in withdraw mode again. Fight lose some, stand your ground and learn. That's how you get stronger.

Mourinho may end up out of top 4 and get sacked for all I care. However, if there is a chance we can feck Chelsea up then I'll go for it. It's not like we have much to lose. Finish 2 or 4th is the same now since the title is out of reach. Weakening Chelsea for medium-long term is worth the risk

I agree. The whole thing is embarassing, now there is a wait to see if Mourinho will say something else.

I wish someone can ask both these morons to shut up. Remind them that they are failing (or have already failed) in their primary objective of winning this league. No one is fooled by this petty skirmish. They should both concentrate on winning the competitions that they are still in instead of these silly playground challenges.

Nah, without war like this, football will be boring.. Please continue the war, Jose! Of course, do it with style by finishing 2nd or winning trophies.

Conte has upped the ante so Mou def will respond. Since Conte has said he will see Mou at OT and will be ready, Mou should just say “bring it” and then not say anything else. That’s it. Looking forward to the Chelski game already.

Can see Ambromovich telling Connie to STFU but cannot see Ed being confrontational with Mou at all...

Yes he did respond to the match fixing comment. Read his full comment on the BBC. Low blow by Mourinho.

Antonio Conte continued to talk about former Chelsea boss Mourinho in the post-match news conference and explained further what had happened in Italy.

"It's true I was banned for four months by the sporting justice for failure to report," Conte, 48, said. "Then I asked for a retrial by court and then they declared it nonsense.

"Before you make these kind of comments you must pay great attention, because you show you are a little man.

"In the past he was a little man in many circumstances, he's a little man in the present and for sure he will be a little man in the future. I consider him a little man and I consider him a man with a very low profile."

I'd back Conte.

In fact, if there was a 20 man Premier League Royal Rumble, I think Mourinho would be eliminated first.

Mou would hide under the ring for the duration and then chair shot the ‘winner’ from behind at the end.

Wait. He said Jose had senile dementia and is now complaining that Jose is being offensive?

What a Conte
Can we break out the "Conte's cracking up" chant next match?

My only regret about all this is that Pep is keeping his nose out. Seems like his time with Jose in Spain taught him some valuable lessons.

If the Cap suits you put it on. That is what happened to Conte. He thought he may have been acting like a clown.

Jose can be a massive bellend at times, but in this instance I think it's Conte who comes out looking the bigger dick. Think he has a screw loose

I don't really understand why people wish Mourinho would "just shut up and finish second". How boring. If the league is gone, lets crush 2nd with a bit of a smirk and a wink to next year.

Round two, after the "Mourinho season" dig and the retort "I won't lose my hair over this".

After Conte's senile comments Jose blamed the journo but the way he starts this "to end the story" and then drops a bombshell, it's hilarious

"The only thing I want to say to end the story is that, yes, I made mistakes in the past on the touchline, yes, I will make less, but I think I will still make a few, what never happened to me, and will never happen, is to be suspended for match fixing. That never happened to me, and will never happen."

He never says who he is referring to. Neither, unbelievably, does any single journalist actually ask.

Are you sure he was talking about Conte?

Exactly. Anyone who has seen all the press conferences, and I sadly have, will know that Mourinho, firstly does not refer to Conte in his "clown" comment, and not a single journalist asks. Neither does anyone ask who he is referring to in his "match-fixing" comments.

What we DO know is that Conte WAS referring to Mourinho when talking about having senile dementia.

So who is being more offensive?

Mourinho has merely shown that he is far cleverer at manipulating the media than Conte is.

On that one they do actually. But Mourinho ducks actually specifying and acts innocent.

After the "clown" comment, the press officer, asked that the questioning move onto the Derby match. No journalist asked in that press conference, who he was referring to as a "clown".

I do not know. Many act as a clown. I mean the dance from Pardew in the Cup Final. Klopp running like a crazy clown on the touch line. Pep and his weird moves, Jose sliding down on his knees. Arsene and his funny struggles with his zipper. That is all apart from Conte and his clowning.
