Video: Nani wants ex-Sporting Lisbon team-mates at Man Utd | The Sun |Sport|Football
I almost missed this due to the events of yesterday. He does say some funny stuff there.
"Super Nani skills"
Of the 11 league losses Manchester United have suffered since April 2008, Nani has started none of them. Reds undefeated in his last 41 league starts.
I never understand why people on here take such umbrage at players being given a bollocking. Either they haven't played the game or are very sensitive souls. But I assure you Nani won't have given it a second thought, just as he doesn't when he gets a Berbabollocking on a weekly basis. It's all water off a duck's back to them.

Congratulations to Nani - our 2011 Player's Player of the Year!
Well deserved Nanners.
Good confidence boost too, in time for the CL final.

I love it that he's won it because he's the sort of player that could infuriate team mates from time to time, but the fact they've selected him shows they understand and appreciate what he does.

Glad for Nani that United players voted him POTY. Obviously a sympathy vote. Bloke's so good he doesn't even get in first team any more

how can Nani be Players' Player of the Year #MUFC. Hasn't got the character for big games that Chicarito has so won't even start v. Barca

@OllieHoltMirror bang on about #Nani. Been poor since Xmas. Would Fergie ship him out for Ashley Young do u think ? #MUFC
OllieHoltMirror
@jimshelley17 Not sure he'd ship him out but Young will either be at United or Liverpool next season. Nani's time would be more limited
I think its great that Nani won this award.
Goes to show that we really shouldn't try and read things into players actions on the pitch. Nani often appears to be the player that others (esp Rooney and Berbatov) get most frustrated by but good to see there is respect there as well!
To be honest I thought Nani was clearly our best player this season. I don't agree with those saying it could have gone to any of 5 or 6 players.

He has been inconsistent though. Personally, I would have went for Hernandez or Vidic.
Journos of The Mirror, ladies and gentlemen.

He's only been inconsistent in the last month or two since Carragher's tackle. Before that he was easily the most consistent attacking player in the premiership.
Nani's late season 'slump' lets Vida and VDS back into it IMO, but I'd still give it to him.
If we put down the 'they hate Manchester United/Nani' schtick for a second, if it's true that we are linked/interested in Ashley Young, and they are wide-spread, not just by Mirror journalists, then the claims aren't that excessive are they?
If you think about it logically, wouldn't the signing of any player in any position potentially limit the starting chances of a player already in that position?
I know that Nani is two footed but I think Ferguson prefers Valencia on the right, although with every place there will be a degree of alternation there, so if Nani's best chance of starting a game is on the left, if we signed another player who can, effectively only, play in that position, saying that the new player may limit the starting prospects of the other, is hardly fanciful is it?
I'm not a great fan of any Mirror journalists but that preposition hardly seems illogical.
But no, the whole thing is beyond retarded.....'Nani doesn't even get in first team any more'
