No, you've at least made an argument for the points you are trying to put across. I agree with some of them, not all. It's a forum at the end of the day, with 25,000+ members, not everyone is going to agree.
Which is kind of the point.
His end delivery isn't shit, and posting a stat where he has a 66% pass ratio hardly proves that, does it? He's said a lot more other than his 'original point' as well.
It is shit. Sure, he can whip in a fantastic ball from time to time, but they tend to be rare and for the amount of space he often finds himself in, he should be doing more with the ball than what he currently does do.
You're the one dissing people for not producing stats and facts themselves when you haven't posted a single one yourself, all you've done is slate Nani.
What facts do you want? I'm just giving my opinion on one of our players. I'm not going to go stat hunting to prove my point.
His pass for Berbatov's huge chance against Tottenham is up there with the best passes you'll see from a United player this season.
The cross for Rooney's goal against Birmingham was inch perfect as well.
He was known as one of the best crossers in the team during his first season, you don't just suddenly lose that, and he's proven that this season as well, even if it's been a bit more erratic.
He's started this season very well, and he was the only player tonight who looked like creating something.
Because he had the ball a lot, not because he did anything of note. As I've said (twice now), I thought his first season was excellent, and I had real high hopes, but since then he has declined.
Yeah that goal against Chelsea in the charity shield was pretty useless wasn't it? And what about that cracker of a shot that the keeper had to parry out for Scholes to header in against Besiktas too, how worthless was that?
Goal aside, against Chelsea he was frustrating to watch, for the most part. Against Besiktas he made a contribution which lead to a goal, I'm pleased he did.
I don't hate Nani by any means, I just don't think he is as good as people like to make out, simply for being a United player. I would like nothing more than for him to start the next few games and make a huge impact and be proved wrong. But judging from his performances throughout last season and his sporadic form in this, I don't harbour much hope.
Which is the opposite of truth. When Nani plays he tends to be the one who sets up at least one of the best chances of the game. He has that incisive potential to affect the scoreline in any match he plays, even if he doesnt play well. It still tends to happen.
The rest of his game is the frustrating part. Not the end product, which tends to be a lot better than Valencia's, Tosic's or Park's. So if you dont rate Nani's end product, you must think we have among the worst set of wingers in the league or something.
Valencia can be as frustrating as Nani sometimes. He tends to not be able to beat the first man or he holds onto the ball for too long. But it's his first season at United and he did well in his time at Wigan so I'm going to give him a season at least before I pass judgement.
Tosic I haven't seen enough of and Park I've been unimpressed with for a while.
