Rooney

What a fecking oaf.
This reminds me of my favorite MLS naming scenario. KC were originally "The Kansas City Wiz". Bad enough was when they played Dallas in the playoffs. That club is now called FC Dallas. At the time, it was the Dallas Burn.
So, yes. We had the regrettably-named Wiz-Burn match.
Young looking very english.
NY/NJ Metrostars -> NY Redbull
where's the barf smiley
The worst thing is when European sports teams try to be North American and take names like that. Like the ice hockey team Frölunda Indians... from Gothenburg, Sweden. Makes no sense.
Burn!!!!!
Do the Colorado Rapids still exist?
What a fecking pedant.
Is the ball flat or is the pitch really wet?

Well exactly. They should have their own team names. Copying is the saddest bit. It's a little geographical signature in a way. Iberian teams are called things like Sporting Club de, or Athletico Club, English teams things like Town & City & United...American Teams are called things like the Falcon Hooves, or the Flaming Torpedo Pigeons....As long as they don't try and change any of the rules, they should call their clubs whatever they like. The more "American" the better.
Is Haile Selassie playing as well?
