Newcastle United vs. Manchester United

Who said i wasn't ?

I just think its going to be a VERY tough game. Newcastle have had 2 weeks to prepare for this match, we've had 2 days. Its never easy playing away from home 3 days after playing abroad. They'll be up for it too, searching for their first win under Keegan. Its a cup final to them.

Our players know we can't afford to drop anymore points, so hopefully they'll give 110%.

Playing United is a cup final for every team.

Fergie has just said in his press conference that he may shuffle his pack for this one, probably a good idea.

I don't like all the constant team changes. Ecspecially in midfield, where you tend to need a bit of consistency.
But i geuss with growing squad sizes these days, he has no choice, if he wishes to keep everyone happy.

If not injured, Park and Fletcher may get a runout as they weren't included in the squad against Lyon. Otherwise than that, we shall see.

Evra and Anderson can do with breaks.

Toon trio missing for Man United clash

KEVIN Keegan will go into battle tomorrow night against Man Utd without three key players.

The Newcastle United boss is missing Obafemi Martins, Stephen Carr and Emre for the St James's Park fixture.

Emre is likely to be out for a fortnight with a calf problem, but Keegan is hoping to have Martins (ankle) and Carr (hamstring) back for the home game against Blackburn Rovers in a week's time.

Martins is the only good one who will miss it. Carr and Emre are crap.

Anyway Geremi, Beye are available again.

Evra and Anderson can do with breaks.

Anderson has only started three games in a row, and Evra only two as he sat out against City. Not desperate for a break.

Anyhoo...

Although, I really dont mind who starts in CM as we have four awesome options.

Watch them raise there game. But we should still have to much for them.Away win.

I was hoping Carr would play.
He's easily the worst full back in the Premiership,

Now is a good time to use the depth we have in our squad. Giggs played most of the Lyon game and took a knock, so Nani is likely to start at LM. Fletcher and Park should also be in the squad though it may be unlikely if they start. Hargreaves started against Lyon so I would expect to see Carrick in his place.

agreed.

Carrick, Park, Nani and Fletcher should all start. They performed well against Arsenal and were very unfortunate not to start the Lyon match. We need to match Newcastle's energy for the first hour, which we noticeably failed to do against Spurs recently, then hit them hard in the final 30 mins, perhaps bringing on quality subs.

I take it most of you have heard or read quotes from today's pre-match press conference?

Fergie definitely hinted at a few changes to freshen things up. Difficult to judge quite how many, sounded like...three, maybe. ;)

3-0 ... hopefully.

Hate 1715 kickoffs (or 18:15 here)

I can't wait that long on a United game when Arsenal or Chelsea are playing earlier. I really hate them.

I hope you match going Mancs will give Sir Bobby Robson the standing ovation he richly deserves before KO tomorrow.

He's the clubs guest of honour to celebrate his 75th birthday.

i second that....one of few people in football i respect

I keep on thinking SAF would put Anderson on the bench, and at the 60th minute or so, would take Scholes out and put Ando () in.

Would like to see Fletcher in the bench to say the least.

Tevez looked hungry so surely he'll start? Saha on the bench.

Nani did look in form so perhaps he'll be there instead of Giggs?

Ronnie needs to get back scoring league goals again if he is to stay ahead of Adebayor.

FFS I'm working during the match. Gonna have to rely on text updates from my mate. Tough one to predict. Probably a United win.

Id say that Tevez and Saha deserve a go.

Bring Rooney on (hopefully) when were in a comfortable position to get back his scoring touch, he has an outstanding record against the Toon. Carrick and Fletcher will probably start.

I fancy Saha to grab a few today.

Edit: If N'Zogbia is playing, then i fully expect our wings to run riot.
