Newcastle United vs. Manchester United

I am a Leeds fan. Always have been. Always will be.

Live in Newcastle now and all my mates are Toon fans so I have (or had as I've not renewed for next season) a NUFC ST.

Got it!

I think I'll actually be a bit annoyed if Hernandez doesn't start this game....

I'm with you on that one. If he doesn't, Moyes might as well help him pack his locker. These are the types of matches he should start. He has the quality to kill off this type of opposition and allow Rooney a rest.

I for one unlike many would play Kagawa even if he's to play against Bayern on Wednesday. He still needs game time to keep his decent form to continue. Maybe play him for a while then sub him like against Villa

I would go with:

De Gea
Rafael Evans Smalling Buttner
Fellaini Fletcher
Nani Mata Kagawa
Hernandez
Newcastle 0 - 4 United. Nani and Kagawa to score.

If he doesn't start this game, he really is dead meat.

We cannot risk Welbeck, and even though all managers always say Rooney needs to play every game, this is one game, he simply doesn't

Kagawa needs to start as does Nani for this - both can be game changers for Wednesday and some game time would do them good

I'd start a front 4 of Nani, Mata, Kagawa and Hernandez. Behind them put Fellaini and Cleverley - save Fletcher/Carrick for Wednesday.

Defense: Rafael, Smalling, Evans, Buttner with DDG

A midfield consisting of Fellaini and Cleverley doesn't give much confidence and can't be trusted. Put one of Carrick or Fletcher beside one of them. We need at least one good passer of the ball in the MD or it'll be a real struggle even against NC a team that recently can't play football at all.

Rumours Rooney Is "Injured" tomorrow anyway. Well, I hope it deserves the inverted commas, and is simply a keep him fresh for the much more important game thing.

The Rooney injury is even more of a reason to rest players. Hernandez up top, Wilson(yes) and Welbeck on the bench. Varela on the bench if Rafael isn't fit enough.

Fellaini--Cleverley/Fletcher
Nani--Mata--Januzaj
Hernandez

No idea on the defence. I hope at least one of Smalling/Evans will be fit to start. But that's the front six I want.

I dunno what CBs are fit but would be surprised to see Rio start tomorrow, I think Moyes would play Carrick CB before he played Rio as he'll defo want him vs Bayern away

A winnable game and likely we will do just that.. 2-0 for me.. Think its the right prep game for us...

Wouldn't mind seeing Fletcher, Kagawa, Nani and Janu get some game time, give Wellbeck and Jones a rest coz they will have a big role to play in Germany...

A bruised toe disabled me from training for 3/4 days. I don't know how bad Rooney's is but considering he's got incomparably better medical help he should be fit-ish for the Bayern game.

A bruised toe prevented me from playing football for 15-16 days but I never had quality treatment

Oh... Bruised toe story time.
I tried to kick the ball with my left leg, missed it and kicked my foot into the ground.. Hairline fracture and had to have my toe padded for about a week.

Looks like Rooney is missing the Bayern game :(

For talk of resting, a front 4 of Nani, Mata, Januzaj and Hernandez is still pretty tidy. I'd probably say Young is more likely to start than Nani, as Nani hasn't even got off the bench yet for some odd reason, even in games we've cruised a win in,

I know i shouldnt but

Game time for Hernandez is important because he could be vital against Munich. We need a score draw and so in the last 10 or 20 minutes we would need him to put away whatever chances he gets.

I also want to see Januzaj, Mata and Kagawa behind him, they will keep picking out his runs.

Depends on how badly it's bruised, then. It's painful and uncomfortable but also extremely frustrating as it's 'only' a toe. Injections help certainly but it can backfire badly afterwards.

Nani - Mata - Kagawa/Januzaj

The line up i will go with anyway.
