Norwich City vs. Manchester United

Michael Carrick could have been pronounced clinically dead midway through the Villa game and Fergie would still have stuck him in again today. He's become the world's most undroppable footballer, despite on recent performances, possibly actually being clinically dead.

Anderson is obviously too in need of games to be allowed to play in any actual games, while Cleverley does too much actual midfield work, which can't be tolerated.

Young has to play otherwise there's a danger that vastly superior footballer Nani might need to be put in the team instead.

Just for once this season, it'd be nice if we had to figure out why we're playing shit during the game, rather than already knowing why we're going to play shit before it has even started.

fecking hell, this Carrick shtick of yours is tedious.

Just for once this season it would be nice for the absolute miserys on here to let a match start before moaning.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

Giggs has been shite all season, how is it unreasonable to think that by picking him AGAIN in a midfield two it might just be a recipe for disaster.

Anyway, I'm in the library doing Uni work. What time should I leave to catch the start of United's performance, I'm thinking about 6:15?

Nicely stolen joke, I think from this very thread, takes sack that.

We'll go 1-0 down bring on a midfield at half time and win 2-1.

Ferguson will talk in his press conference about how we need to 'stop conceding early goals' and 'how good it is that we have so many players capable of turning things around'

fecks sake.

:( My thoughts on looking at that midfield.

Ha, love the way Noodle attacks the popular view.

With the greatest of respect (more than you have given Manchester United's most decorated player in history of the greatest British manager of all time), there is a reason you a random bloke on the internet and not picking our team.

Do you understand the concept of squad rotation, picking the right team for a particular game and that we still have 6 months of the season to go?

Have your 'opinion' ... let others have there's too.

My opinion of your opinion is that is as wrong as wrong can be.
We are already through to KO's, we can field our reserves midweek. There really isn't any need for rotation when 3 points are very important.

Basically, your opinion is that we should all shut up and do not discuss Manchester United at all because Fergie knows better anyway.

Just close down the Manchester United forum and rename this site "general forum for Manchester United fans, United discussion not allowed".

aka rawk

...come to think of it...where is Nani....is injury preventing him from being on the bench, or just Fergie's dislike?

He was injured in the last CL game. Was supposed to be back in 10 days. How many has it been?

I generally agree with you noodle but tbh Carrick is the only CM of his type we have in the team, without him the huge spaces opponents already get would only be bigger. They'd have highways to attack us

Yeah...it's not like teams have been running freely at our back four in every game he's played this season or anything.

I mean, if you ignore every single game Carrick has played in this season, our midfield has actually covered for the defence quite well...this is obviously down to Michael Carrick's ability to be so good at defending (despite being a midfielder), he's actually become better at it when he's not there.

I haven't seen the line-up but judging by this thread it's this:

Wisdom Teeth

Buttner

A Load of Old Rubbish

Saviours

Feel free to 'discuss' your amateur view. Good for you.

Just stop getting so uppity when others disagree with you and you don't have a left toe to stand on.

You watch him a great match tonight noodle. We'll talk about it later

Squad rotation is fine but when you have someone like Ando, who we're apparently planning to be part of our midfield long term and still have questions on, who hasn't started in over a week and so is fresh, and is more suited to a more energetic role, and with your next game being one which is in the grand scheme of things meaningless and in which lots of changes are likely, why not play the guy who needs games in the one you care about, and the one who is as good as he's gonna be, and less suited to the role you're intending to use him for in the one that doesn't matter as much.

I hope Giggs has a good game, he's one of my favourite players, but it doesn't make sense to play him in this game, when we have others who need the game time more and can likely give a better account of themselves in the role he's being asked to do.

Exactly. Apparently if you give an opinion going against Fergie on an internet forum, you're pointless.

Fergie said he was out for 10 days the day before the Villa game, we've no idea when he'll be back.

I'm sure he'd have been on the bench anyway, seeing as he's our only other winger.

Nothing to it.

:boring:

and look at the state of that place. If people want to moan about the line up, let them moan because chances are it's justified by previous games and performances. No point in all sitting back pretending the line up is great and we are going to play the perfect game every weekend. Sick of this top red attitude where you dare not question anything Fergie does or says.

Just for once it'd be nice to not know why our team selection isn't going to work before the game has started.

Unless Norwich completely fail to turn up, we will need to make changes to try and win the game. I know this, you know this. We've picked a midfield that isn't capable of doing the basic job of a midfield.

Nobody "disagreed". We've been told that we're random posters on the internet while Fergie is very successful. These are indisputable facts but have little to do with expressing opinion.

How fantastic the threads would be with people like you and acnumber. "Get in there, fantastic line-up!" "What a game, we only conceded twice!", "Brilliant from Fergie, we only got outplayed by ten men, not nine".

What a lovely perfect forum that would be.
