Nope, didn't like the look of the film nor the script and I can't stand Russel Crowe. I hated all of Ridley Scott's 'historical' films. Kingdom of Heaven was worse and Robin Hood was a piece of shit. I hope he stops making those kind of movies, he clearly doesn't know what he's doing .

He fecked up Django in the end, would have been closer if not for those horrible final 30minutes, so yeah Basterds is the clear winner between those two.

Fair enough. To be honest, I'm not Crowe's biggest fan either but I thought he was excellent in Gladiator. I liked Joaquim Phoenix's performance as well, thought he made a compelling villain. It's not without it's faults but I always enjoy watching it. Each to his own, I suppose.

Kingdom of Heaven and Robin Hood were certainly shit, I definitely agree with you there.

Wow, I didn't realise so many people thought it was shit! I genuinely thought it was a very entertaining film. Far from flawless but well worth a watch.
