I simply added to that post and clear any misconceptions there may have been. That's all. Jeez some of you do take things too seriously on this forum.I need to reboot now....:D

Hope so. This lad is really our shining light in terms of young talent at the moment. No one else is quite at his level in terms of reserve and youth team players. Obviously some might come close but right now Pogba looks maybe 6 months from being ready for regular first team action.

I have high hopes for this lad. I'd go as far as stating he was ahead of Morrison in development last season. Tie him up and give him minutes and he'll develop towards something truly special.

I think SAF has already promoted him to train with the first team. Once the Europa cup gets going and if we can get on a run and make progress, it will be great for him to get game time. Being on the bench and just being around the first team should be exciting times for him.

With Giggs, Scholes and Fletcher all with very uncertain futures, the path is clear for him to establish himself as a squad player within 12 months.

As SAF said, it's all there for him if he is up for it, can demonstrate his talent and the enourmous amount of inPut into hIs game from Carrington University. If he can develop as is envisaged, he and Cleverley could be our mainstay central pairing til the end of the decade.

Unless the transfer muppets win and we sign Andy Carroll or some other wannabe nobody.

Yup. If you're a young talented central midfielder with aspirations to make it at a big club, I reckon United is the place to be. We're going through a huge transitional phase in midfield with the likes of Cleverley and Anderson hopefully taking on the mantle in the near future and only Carrick as the current mainstay that should continue being so in the foreseeable future.

With all the bench time he has been getting, and with Gibson being let go, I have no doubt that Pogba will be getting more game time in the near future and will be offered a new contract.

The press love to write about how he's going to leave, so if they're actually starting to say he might stay then I feel more inclined to believe that.

He was on the bench against Chelsea, I'd imagine he's training with the first team now, and will feature more in the 18-man squad.

I just think it will be a lot harder for him to make the bench now that we are finally seeing some of our injury problems disappear. But I do think the fact that he was left out entirely today is a good sign. I highly doubt he'll feature at the weekend but I really hope to see him against Ajax.

He will probably be on the bench against Liverpool - esp as Young took a knock against Chelsea and we only seem to get Cleverley back for this match

are you being serious? Young has just come back from the injury?

During the Chelsea-game - one of the commentators said Young had taken a knock just prior to him being subbed. Of course that doesn't mean it was too bad but I don't think Ferguson will risk anything if he doesnt have to, and we do have attacking options

Any other news on his contract situation?

Quick review of the situation as I understand it :

Pogba wants to stay
Man Utd want Pogba to stay
Issue with contract due to Pogba changing agents
6 months remaining on current contract with the option to extend it by a year so no immediate worries of him leaving.

Obviously the sooner we get it sorted the better.

Anyone thinks that he might start or play some part in the Ajax game?

Surely has a good chance of being on the bench. I'd be very surprised if he started.

He's a better chance of some minutes in the return fixture.

Paul Pogba feels he is improving all the time at United as he learns from the experienced stars at Carrington.

The Frenchman was outstanding in the Reserves' 2-1 win against Bolton on Monday night in his first run-out since an impressive cameo as a substitute in the Barclays Premier League defeat of Stoke.

After an inviting free-kick allowed Reece Brown to grab the opener, the midfielder hit the bar with a ferocious drive and then headed the winner with six minutes remaining.

"It was very hard," he told MUTV at Moss Lane. "Seriously. We were winning 1-0 but they came back and we really wanted win the game. We wanted more and we won it and I think we deserved it.

"Because I hadn't scored since the Norwich game, I think, I wanted to score so badly today. So I scored and I'm really happy.

"In training, I've been practising all the time - passing and going in the box - and it paid off. I'll just carry on and hopefully score more goals."

Pogba celebrated with his brother Mathias, who plays for Wrexham, after getting the winner. "My brother always comes to my games," he added. "When I score, I go and see him and thank him for watching my games and am just happy."

In terms of pushing for more first-team inclusion, the 18-year-old was quick to stress he is soaking up the experience of sitting on the bench and watching his team-mates closely. After being an unused substitute in the victory against Liverpool, he was pleased to revel in the atmosphere.

"It's very good," he enthused. "Just to train with the talented players, top-class players, and improve and get more experience.

"When I'm on the bench, I just watch and want to play with them and get involved. Like against Liverpool, it was a great chance for me to be on the bench.

"I hope I will come on and do my best and show everyone what I can do."

Good lad. Glad he is loving life at OT and really seems to be savouring his opportunities in and around the first team. Let's be honest, between him and Cleverley that was the reason why Fergie decided against splashing out on a CM last summer. Both look more than capable of filling that role in the team long term.

I can see him being on the bench for the Ajax game. I think it might be too big a game just to throw him into the first team though. Even if it is only the Europa League, we can't just chuck the youngsters in there. If we get a convincing win in this game though, then he could possibly get a chance in the return leg.

In the 20man squad for Amsterdam.

A sub appearance at best in Amsterdam. But I can see him in the starting line-up at home if we get a good result tomorrow.

I see the mirror has a piece abouyt chelsea willing to splash out for him...make it obvious though its his agents whipping interest up with chelsea and in italy.

Made me chuckle when it said we were in a 'titanic battle' with them for him. fecking sensationalize every last drop don't they.

You wonder why is it taking so long to try and tie him down. Its dragged on for so long now that you wonder is it worth the hassle. He is obviously an unbelievable player in the making but is he gona be looking for an improved mega contract every season shortly after he signed one before!
