Made me chuckle when it said we were in a 'titanic battle' with them for him. fecking sensationalize every last drop don't they.

I dont know why I bother reading any newspapers anymore...though obviously calling the mirror a newspaper is a stretch.

If he wants to stay, he'll either sign the contract with his current agent, or sack his agent and sign the contract with a different one/by himself. If he REALLY wants to be at Manchester United, why hire such a cnut of an agent? I know he's young and naive..but seriously?

After lots of speculation over his future, this morning Italian newspaper Tuttosport have broke the news that “Juventus have got their hands on Paul Pogba.” Tuttosport are a newspaper in Italy with close contacts to Juventus and so there is a strong likelihood that this front page news is genuine.

The paper notes that Juventus have beaten off competition from Arsenal and Liverpool and that Juventus and Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola are currently sorting out little details with regards to the purchase of Paul Pogba who is out of contract at the end of the season. Manchester United will be due some competition for training the youngster at youth level. They add that he will arrive in Turin in the summer.

Don't believe it. These papers have a habit of doing that...funnily enough just like ours.

If SAF wants him, we'll do all we can to keep hold...this is nothing like the Morrison situation.

Ultimately if Juventus are offering him silly wages because they don't have to pay a transfer fee then there's not much we can do. There seems to be some doubt over his contract situation though given that Fergie said we have a one year extension option.

I think he´ll go alright. More money, and promises of real playing time (promises which may or may not be kept).

The money I can understand and I wouldn't begrudge anyone that reason to switch employers but the notion that he'd get more playing time is ridiculous,if indeed that's what Juve are saying. It'd be no more than the situation here;he'd be on the bench in favour of senior players.

I expect him to play against Ajax in the return however, let's see then

I reckon he's gone, if he really wanted to stay he'd have signed by now. What more does he want us to do.

What annoys me is that we should have had this tied up a long time ago.

That does seem a little annoying given his ability.I just wonder if the coaches had seen something just to raise a question mark over a long term deal.then again wasn't Ole his coach last year?

I believe his interview the other night ahead of this bullshit

Well, he won't come out and say anything negative in an interview, so I won't read into it that much either.

At the end of the day what matters is his contract and he hasn't signed any extension with us yet.

I wasn't too bothered with Morrison going but this will be fecking annoying to say the least. In fact I'd be livid if we let this kid go.

Well we could match their offer, considering we don't have to pay a transfer fee either.

So much wrong with this. Talented player, would be a shame to lose him. If its playing time he's after, he wont get much more at juve.

I reckon this is bullshit, Tuttosport more often than not post bullshit.

Indeed. I'm assuming Sultan's post is C&P'd from elsewhere as I doubt he'd ever be retarded enough to say the following:

Haven't they heard of Marca?

Last transfer window they reckoned Clichy were on his way to Juve.

Tuttosport is as reliable as any other paper.

As long as pogba keeps being involved with the first team, it means that he has not decided t leave yet. If the story about him joing juve is true then SAF will just let him rot in the reserves in june.

He'd be silly not to stay with Giggs, Scholes and Carrick being in their 30's and Ando not fulfilling his potential he has a clear path to the First Team. Also never trust anything agents say.

Even him playing there would be weird, considering we've got other prospects who could surely use the experience.

which makes me believe further that this, if true, has nothing to do with football playing time. He's been on the bench and it's only due to the nature of the games and opposition that he hasn't appeared more.

If he's after playing time like Morrison, I think he would have been gone by now. Why we get unsettled by rumors, I dont know. Given the fact that he's been on the bench for a good stretch, I think that's a sign that Fergie is willing to put him out there when he feels the time is right. I'm sure Pogba wont mind that. He seems a bit more grounded too. He has his brother who plays for Wrexham who always comes to his games and supports him. Yes he could still leave. Though I'm not sure how this is like the morrison situation.

Really hope he stays. Not gonna pretend I watched him for the reserves, but from what I've heard about him, and the 20 minutes against Stoke (yes, I know we were in a comfortable position at the time) showed he has talent. Losing him and Morrison wouldn't be good.

He gets almost next to nothing here. Just a few minutes in a few games.

He'l get more next season as he get better and some of our CMs get older. It isnt as if he' going to tart for Juve anyways..

Only TalkSport, but thought I'd post it...

Football premier-league: Pogba still in talks with Man United over new deal | Radio talkSPORT

Paul Pogba is hopeful of signing a new deal with Manchester United in the very near future.
The 18-year-old midfielder has been the subject of intense speculation surrounding his future, with his current deal at Old Trafford expiring this summer.
Chelsea and AC Milan are believed to keen to take the French youth international, while some reports in Italy have suggested that Juventus have already agreed a deal for Pogba, who joined United from Le Havre in 2009.
However, sources close to the teenager have told talkSPORT that contract negotiations are still ongoing with the Premier League champions and they are hopeful they of reaching a satisfactory conclusion

Contrasting reports, then. Again.

This whole thing is pissing me off. Football, as a matter of fact, is really pissing me off at the moment.

This. I've felt like this for the last 18 months or so when it comes to football. Coincided with me getting back into and watching NFL and NBA. I think I actually enjoy watching those sports more at the moment!

relax lads...unlike the Morrison case, where I think he was sold because of non-football factors, think we will keep Pogba.

He looks a gem. Him and Cleverley in the middle will destroy most teams in years to come. Fergie wont let him slip.

Probabaly what is holding things up is a precedent may be set here...paying him whatever he is asking.

I don't think he's going to sign. It's nearly March already and he only has three or four months left on his current deal, if he was really willing to sign badly he'd have signed a new deal by now. He won't get £20k+ here for a new deal, he doesn't play, he has no strong attachment to the club having joined less than three years ago. You'd think there'd be no better place to be for a young midfielder right now with us needing one but then again Giggs have just signed an extension, Cleverley has got back from injury, Carrick have been in top form and Anderson will get back to his best eventually. Fletcher might be back from his illness at some point next season and we might offer Scholes a new one-year deal because he has really been impressive these past few weeks. He won't get much time next year either.

I hope Im wrong but I don't see fletcher being able to play regularly again. His condition is some bad juju.
