There's no reason why he shouldn't get a few Carling Cup games. Big talent.
I hope he goes on loan to preferably a premier league team - maybe QPR or Norwich.
I think we might have no choice but to use him this season if we carry on buggering about with (not) recruiting bodies in central midfield

Can someone remind me if Sir Alex wanted to play fletcher when he was 16?..I think Sir Alex is the best because over the years he's done things other managers wouldn't...however, there's no real rush and we need to still get rid of Gibson and try to get the best ouf of cleverly. You can't rule anything out. Kiko came into the team..off the back of his performances at youth/reserve level - but he didn't do enough to stay there. Twins from flipping Brazil...came in ...and are now squad members/first teamers. Fabio even played against barca ahead of experienced professionals in a champions league final....there are many examples of Sir Alex not being rigid, especially at a time where midfield is an area we're focussing on.
Nope. We will rather convert Jones, Park or even someone like Fabio or Smalling to midfield than give a youngster like Pogba a go. He has no experience at all in professional football and we've seldom given a chance to players as young as him in our midfield.

I know you'd love to think otherwise, but he's not ready. It's really that simple.
McEachran looked very promising last season playing in 17 matches for Chelsea at 17 y o. Are many of you saying then that Pogba's not as far on in his development?

how do you know?...Giggs was 17...some people talk nonsense when it comes to kids. If you are good enough you are old enough. It's that simple.

Dont agree with the giggs bit because it was a different era. But youre right, if youre good enough, youre old enough.
that's football isn't it? It's not a different sport when you play up the levels, you're just playing older men. You just deal with a higher levels of pressure. Where ever you are on the field you have to face someone. People feared about Rafael and Fabio and now no one gives a shit because people realised they can play. They accepted it. Someone like Pogba and various others can play. It's not false confidence.
If a 16 year old fabregas and an 18 year old Pogba were side by side, I don't think many people would point at Fabregas as being the one ready...but sometimes you have to accept they can play. To many people go for the party line. He's not ready! Loan him out! Apparently Petrucci was close to Romas first team but since he's not played, we should loan him out to a championship club...etc...
Gary neville/Phil Neville/Paul Scholes/Nicky Butt/Ryan Giggs never loaned out
David beckham - loaned out - played only 5 games....

I'm not sure what to make if the 'he's not ready' comments. It's obvious that he's not at the level where he could step into our first team and play all the time, that much is obvious. But we're talking about his development here and perhaps he is ready to play a few games whenever possible to continue to progress as a player. The better the level he plays at, the more benefit he will take from it.
In my opinion, a player will never be ready for the first team until he has experience with the first team
