Paul Pogba

We should be playing him in the Europa League.

It's pointless playing Giggs or Scholes in the and Carrick should be rested unless we are in the latter stages. I'd be hoping for Pogba, Cleverley and Anderson to be used in the Europa league as it would be of benefit to them(first to for experience and Anderson because he needs to restablish himself whenever he returns).

Easily the best I've seen from him at this level, admittedly against a poor Stoke who had given up hope and were completely dominated when he entered. Still, showing signs of his undoubted ability, and looked confident.

Just sign that contract lad!

Great cameo form the lad. The kid seems to have a great temperament, and was wanting the ball all the time.

Along with Gibson lifted last nights temperature.

If he really wants to stay, he will.

How could you not want to stay? As a 18 year old kid, coming on in front of 78,000 fans cheering as you enter the pitch. Slotting into midfield beside 2 Champions League winners and multiple Premier league winners. He comes on to the field surrounded by champions, winners, he must just think to him self 'I want this'.

I'm confident he'll stay.

I think today we saw the difference between bringing in a kid in makeshift side versus a somewhat stable that can actually give the kid a platform to perform well. Delighted by his performance.

Very good point. I think is a huge difference when integrating youngsters in to the team. Carrick and Scholes are masters at their craft, they know when to give Pogba the ball and when not to. Both were staying back as well, giving Pogba the chance to burst forward, but I'm sure they enjoyed the rest :P.

Europa League will be a great chance to give Cleverley, Smalling and Jones the chance to play in a Continental competition without a whole lot of pressure on their shoulders.

I really hope he signs a new contract and stays. He'll show Morrison what he's missing and what could have been.

Hopefully he'll show us what we need not what Morrison's missing.

Nice little cameo last night, showed a lot of potential.Having Scholes alongside definitely helps

It just amazes me that 16 or 18 years old kids have their own agent who probably know that kids are so fickle at that age. Therefore they will milk out as much as possible in the short run. What cant there be a FIFA where they cant have an external agent until 21 and can use family members as advisers/professional ward only.

If Gazza could give these kids some advice now...

There are agents at u10, and lower, games.Apalling but true. Now this regulation thing that's coming through will make it harder for clubs to have any control over players

How tall is he? Made Fergie look like a dwarf.

Am I the only one getting concerned that the club seemingly are having issues tying down young players to new contracts?

It´s only because they are so good. If United were producing shit quality players then you wouldnt have other clubs waving big contracts at the agents.

Yep, but previous generations have been good too and they only ever wanted to play for United!

Money. Talented players seem even rarer and rarer. Promising young players are getting more money waved at them.

To be fair I can understand Pogba getting fidgety when we fielded Rafael and Park in centre midfield, at home against fecking Blackburn

The message that sent to him was that he was currently ninth choice, at most

Yup. Forget 'not being ready for the first team', Rafael needing games etc. That was pretty fecking retarded.

Also, we need a compilation video of that cameo last night

Was really pleased with his performance last night, he seems to have finally convinced more people of what he is really capable of. It was frustrating for those of us saying that he is nearly ready and not having anyone believe you, but last night showed just how comfortable and composed he is. He didn't look of out place at all.

The best thing is that there's still more to come, not even in a sense of him improving but of what he is actually capable of already. With a few more appearances he will show other parts of his game too.

On a side note he seems like a great lad. After the game he went round and shook everyones hand and Rio ran over and put his arm round Pogba. Looks like Rio is taking some of these lads under his wing.

Can we get a video of his involvement last night?

Pogba wants to stay, United want Pogba to stay.

How the feck is that complicated?

Carrick, Cleverley, and Pogba seems like a promising combination. We'd also have Giggs, Anderson, and hopefully Fletcher back to full fitness.

Muppet in me thinks a player like Javi Martinez would be an excellent addition to that list.

I would tear the cock off myself if that happened.

Metaphorically, most likely.

Javi Martinez hasn't even played in central midfield this season, he has been used as a central defender by Athletic's new manager.

Yes, but he has everything to play a role in midfield. i fully expect him to move soon and i doubt he'l be used as a CB elsewhere.

I don't really want to shit in your sandwich because I agree with you, he looks like a player and a half but he was playing against Stoke at Old Trafford where we had a lot of possession. A real test would be against a team where we may not be controlling the ball so much. I digress though, he looks like he's going to be a fantastic player, his crossing was brilliant and I hope we keep him on.

Good job we're buying him and not his manager then.;)

Heh.

What I meant that although he looked excellent in the U21 World Cup in the last season, maybe he isn't that great in midfield that's why an experienced manager like Biesla is playing him in defense. I've only started seeing La Liga regularly from this season though, so no idea how good was he in midfield in the last season or so.

With regards to Pogba, Fergie said that it's complicated because he has changed his agents a couple of times. Sorry I didn't added that when I posted the interview one first time.

Also thought he looked much better because he was given the freedom to express himself, whereas in his previous first team appearances he was being played in the 2 man midfield where he had to also show some defensive responsibility.
