The fact that he isn't getting much of a look in despite the fact that he is far too good for the reserves and we are struggling for numbers in central midfield only adds to the reasons for him to sign a better deal at Juve.
There have been a lot worse players than Pogba who have come from the reserves in recent years that have played more first team football. I'm surprised, regardless of his contract situation, that he hasn't actually featured more. He is as dominant in the reserves as anyone else I can remember.
He has appeared on the bench quite a few times as quoted in the post below. The main problem in terms of his appearances is that there haven't been that many games where he has been on the bench and we've put it to bed early on.
I am surprised he wasn't on the bench against Wigan or Fulham but there might have been another reason for that.
We've also had quite a few players getting injured and returning from injuries so they've been needing the game time more so that they can get back to match fitness. The number of injuries we've had have been far from ideal.
When I mean featured, I mean on the pitch.

The agent of Manchester United's 18-year-old prodigy, Paul Pogba, has said that discussions over his future at the club are "precarious", amid suggestions that a row with Sir Alex Ferguson led to him being excluded from the squad to face Ajax at Old Trafford last week.
The French teenager was widely expected to feature against the Dutch champions and his omission, which surprised many at Old Trafford, came after he was forced to train with the reserves on the day of the game.
United did not comment yesterday on whether there had been a dispute with Ferguson, but with Juventus believed to be among a number of Italian clubs who have Pogba in their sights, agent Mino Raiola made it clear that contract discussions over the player are proving difficult. The chances of United this summer losing the player – arguably the brightest teenaged prospect at Old Trafford, following the talented Ravel Morrison's departure to West Ham – look increasingly high.
"It is a precarious situation," Raiola said. "It is difficult at the moment. Manchester United want him. It is up to the boy to make some decisions." Asked if there were uncertainties about whether his future lay at United, Raiola said: "Not from our side but that is a question to ask Mr Ferguson."
The club and player are some distance apart on wage demands and the fee that the French midfielder's agents may get for securing a new deal is also a likely point of contention. Ferguson is known to feel strongly that Pogba is at a stage of his development when he should not be demanding unrealistic money and the failure to agree a deal has put strains on their relationship.
On the teenager's absence from the squad to play Ajax, Raiola said: "It is never nice for the player not to be in the squad. It is the same for [Mario] Balotelli [whom Raiola also represents.] We must keep our minds cool and heads cool. Some things are good. Some things are not good [in this situation]."
With Milan also linked to Pogba, Raiola added: "We know there are some clubs interested in him. We must finish first with Manchester and after that we will see other options, if they are there. The club give the indication that they want to keep him and we are talking contract terms. There is willingness from both parties at the moment."
United were cleared by Fifa to sign the then 16-year-old from Le Havre in October 2009, following accusations of poaching by the French club. Ferguson publicly warned Pogba before Christmas not to wreck his United chances, after Raiola was engaged to work on the contract discussions.
"We have an option on his contract that takes us into a year-and-a-half away, so in that respect there's not a great emergency about it. But we'd like the boy to sign a contract and, if he'd like to be a Manchester United player, then he knows what to do," Ferguson said back then.

If United have an option for another year this summer then all this talk of Pogba being out of contract in a few months is just tabloid BS.
Hopefully the kid will come to his senses and realize he's in the best place for his development. If not, it would be too bad losing a talented young player, but the club can't give in to ridiculous demands from a teenager who hasn't done anything yet.

No. The club reserves the right to extend the contract. Its one sided. If he had the choice not to extend the contract, then what is the point of having that clause?

I can only ever go with Ferguson on this one, we won't be offering the kid a pittance and if all he is after is a higher pay bracket, then he's missing the point of what he could have here. The lad has played feck all for making demands, despite his obvious talent. We've made our offer, accept it or decide to leave and if your leaving do it soon so we can spend our time developing someone else.
Haven't got the dexterity to quote and bold etc on my phone but in the first bit of the article he says united want him and it's for Pogba to decide I'd he stays, then he goes on to say that Pogba wants to stay but it's up to sag to decide...
The fact that we also want him to sign a contract should scream volumes to the kid, and whilst we'll soon have everyone in here bleating on about how we're arrogant and United aren't a special club and their are other teams and it's all about money and it's a job like any other (which it sure as hell isn't), then the lad shouldn't be looking at his pay packet now but rather what he could achieve and be. If all he cares about is the wage then he's missed the point entirely. In other words, next!
According to the Sun we are offering him twenty thousand but he wants double the wages. Obscene wages for a young reserve.
Using the old, if you really really want him then you'll pay what we're demanding, therefore the decision is yours, not ours. This reads to me that we've made our offer and they're playing hardball for more money. We've been doing this a lot and I applaud it. We won't be drawn into bidding wars in the transfer market, nor should we for youth players. Got to admit though I'm seriously considering becoming a football agent.

Fergie should jus stick to his principles. As a result, he either signs or he leaves, simple. If someone doesnt appreciate working under Fergie, playing for United and working hard to get a chance in 2-3 years, he's at the wrong club.

When I first read this I thought I had read "Some men just want to watch the world bum"...Speak for yourself sunshine!...and then I realised.Back on subject, as much as I appreciate the talent he is and that I'd love to see him develop with us, I think SAF's stance has been excellent on the matter from what I can tell. To be held to ransom by a youngster - no matter how good - would go against all morals of the club. I hope we don't give in to the demands, and if we lose him, we lose him!
It's media coverage they're getting that gets me though. I don't think either of these players have even started a game for United?
