To be honest, this is not a very likely time for there to be any new develops on this front. We're in the middle of a tense title race with our bitter rivals. If there are issues to be ironed out I doubt this will bet he time for it. There are more important things to focus on for Fergie and his staff right now.

fecking hell people really are idiots aren't they?

There is no news at all, the fact the lad is getting in the team suggests he's staying, if the boss wasn't adamant he was staying he wouldn't be playing.

Chill the feck out yo, nothing's happened, no news is good news in these cases IMO.

Don't really agree with that. The nearer it gets to him packing his bags for the summer hols without a deal being signed, the less likely he'll be back.

After Fergie's recent optimistic statement I was quite hopeful, but now I'm beginning to revert to my previous view that the kid may be stalling until the summer when, away from Old Trafford, he will make a 'surprise' announcement that he's signed for Juventus.

No news is better than 101 stories about him going to Juve, the lack of these stories suggests his agent is negotiating with us seriously now. SAF doesn't suffer fools, if Pogba doesn't love what he's seeing from the bench now then he's not right in the head and more than welcome to leave.

[Alex's chorus]
I Don't Understand The Way Juve Think
Saying Pogba's Yours Not Mine
Sending Raiola And Your Silly Dreams
About Tons Of Playing Time
Because He's Mine
The Doggone Pogba's Mine
Don't Waste Your Time
Because The Doggone Pogba's Mine

He can do what he wants now. I no longer care.

The Times today says that he's no closer to signing a new deal and his agent is working to get him a deal at Juventus.

What went wrong, Gambs?

He goes we'll sign a midfielder. I then get to spend the summer months muppetting to my hearts content. (Although we'll probably do our usual and announce everyone we've signed in the first week of the transfer season leaving me with a empty soulless summer. Heartless bastards).

Internet saying he'll sign with Juve in a few weeks.

it will be like Morrison - a shock when he is gone and now he is out of sight, out of mind

If he goes, I wouldn't get too excited about getting a new midfielder.

There is every chance that Fergie still believes, Carrick, Scholes, Cleverley, Anderson, Giggs, Jones and possibly Fletcher is more than enough options for Centremid.

I know but I am a muppet and in some ways the worst thing for a muppet is when we actually sign someone. When we don't, we can speculate away.... oh Hamsik...

Pogba agreed to leave Utd a month ago but the lanky muppet is keeping it from Fergie so that he doesnt get the bad treatment before he leaves. Its the same sort of thing that happened with Tevez and Ronaldo when the word was that they had already agreed a deal behind the scenes with someone else months before leaving and the papers caught wind of it but they had to deny it right up until they left to save themselves getting fan abuse and manager and player abuse! Might be a worrying trend if clubs start to feel they can offer our best trained kids a first team player salary to poach them from us but on the bright side we might sign a player that will fit right in straight away instead of painfully waiting a few seasons for a kid to gradually come through.

Do you think agents don't talk to each other and SAF doesn't have any contacts? I'd be surprised if Pogba could hide that much from him. It's hard to say how valid The Times report is without reading it but it may well be based on the fact no progress has seemingly been made over the contract rather than concrete information. We'll wait and see but if Pogba doesn't want to be a part of what he sees from the bench now in the near future it's his loss.

So Pogba is just stringing Fergie along, who is under the impression Pogba will definitely sign? This is the same sort of thing that happened with Ronaldo and Tevez?

It's really not similar, you don't know what's happening, and it clearly isn't the start of a worrying trend.

Yes, I can see it clearly now.

Pogba's just been using us to prevent Fergie from signing that elusive midfielder, safe in the knowledge that his black pearl will ascend from the youth set-up and take us to the next level. He's probably signed a deal with City already.

A clever scheme if I ever saw it.

I'm honestly not bothered if he decides to leave for the same reason I wasn't bothered that Morrison left. If these players don't see their future at a club like United which has a rich history of nurturing youth players into world class stars and has been one of the top 3 most successful clubs in the world for two decades, then they are not worth worrying about. Not because they have rejected our club but because right now there is nowhere better they could be. Football is obviously not their priority and as the recent events at City have illustrated, you don't want those sort of characters at your club.

So our very own Fergie, in the business for 30 odds year, gets tricked by a 19 year old? Sweet jesus...

I find it hi-larious that he thinks the press would know more about a United player's situation than Sir Alex does

Juve are offering him less wages than us, they're just giving his agent a few million as well.

Ronaldo actually wanted to go a season earlier than he did agree to stay for one more season out of loyalty to the club and the manager that made him.

I still don't think anyone has any idea what's going on, something must be positive simply as he's getting time on the bench and the pitch whereas he went through a few weeks where he was nowhere to be seen.

I think Fergie said himself this cannot be compared to Morrison, the club wanted Ravel to leave whereas Fergie has made it completely clear he doesn't want Pogba to go.

So far past caring now. feck him and the horse he rode in on if he doesnt want to sign, and quite frankly even if he does whats to stop this happening again every few years........

If there's silence, the media will keep bringing up juve, the club who had already agreed a deal with Pogbas agent...Sir Alex hasn't run out of patience. We've not as a club. He was on the bench last game. The same people moaning will be the same ones praising him soon enough if he signs....We just have to wait for something official. No point saying 'ohh i don't care anymore' when clearly you do...

Oh look, we don't rate him again and don't care if he leaves.

Have a word.

Its a strange situation alright. You know Fergie won't be taken for a mug but I can only see this ending one way if it is allowed to drag on until the summer.

I'm not sure why Fergie said that its looking positive and that we might hear something soon, but whatever it was didn't materialise. I can't help but think about all those articles saying that Pogba won't sign a new deal, he'll drag it out til summer and then join Juve.

All those that have read Zlatans autobiography, knows that Mino Raiola is very good at playing these games, so feck knows where Pogba ends up. I think only Raiola knows.

It's a bit of a sad world if the agent is telling you where to play. Players are usually a bit daft, but you really wonder how stupid they can be sometimes

Another little article about the same old shit? If he is involved in the first team squad (atleast on the bench) then I think it shows it is going ok and the these reports are misleading. His agent might be acting the cnut still, but for all we know Pogba could be saying other things behind the scenes.

So basically I'm not getting to worked up about it.

Why do I allow myself to get excited every time this thread bumps onto the front page? 'He's signed!' I excitedly tell myself. No? Bollocks.

It's weird - the good old internet has led to instant access to so many bits of information it seems positively perverse that we are being kept waiting on decisions such as this. Why I am allowing myself to get emotionally involved? (this morning I'm leaning to 'feck him if he's too dunder-headed to sign' but that could all change so very easily)

I need to get a grip.

I hate him, I don't understand why he is still refusing to sign a new deal with us. He has taken the club for a ride.

Why would you want him at the club if he's seriously considering going to Juventus?

I'm sure we had players in the past who considered going elsewhere, decided to stay and were brilliant for us... A player is allowed to look around and think, even if he's playing for United.

Unfortunately I can't shake the feeling a few others here have, that he's already decided to go and is keeping quiet until the end of the season.

If he was taking us for as much of a ride as reports suggest, I sincerly doubt SAF would have him anywhere near the team. Sure he is a great talent, but he isnt a first team regular. He'd be shown the door. If you have all the talent in the world, but your head is in the wrong place, you will be shown the door by SAF like Ravel was.
