He just keeps getting better and better so it won't stop being mentioned. If/when he moves to another club, that should be the end of it.

I have a nasty feeling that club will be city and it his leaving will be brought up every time he has a decent game (which on current form and alongside Toure one suspects would be most weeks)

Why do people keep blaming saf for letting him go? He was offered a contract but decided to go to italy because he is more concerned with making as much money as quickly as possible for him and his agent rather than takng a long view. How is that utds or safs fault? feck him, he can go to real when they bid along with the other mercenaries.

Why do you call him a mercenary?...He hardly left for money. There were times when Fergie played one of the twins in midfield and left Pogba out. The boy obviously had a lot of talent but how do you say to someone "you're nearly there, you'd get your chance", while your actions say the other. Pogba obviously didn't want to leave Utd and he got an opportunity and took it. In the workforce you would have done the exact same thing if another company wanted to hire you and your current boss is paying only lip service to your abilities. Calling him a mercenary is just simply wrong here.

And offering a new contract doesn't say much these days...footballers want playing time. The same can be said of Mata now, he wants playing time and Utd is willing to offer him that and maybe more money (who knows). He's hardly a mercenary.

He left ages ago. Why does he keep talking about United. He seems to crop up in the news once a months or so, with some backlash at United. Give it a rest.

I'd still take him back though. The massive, massive bastard.

It's clear he didn't want to leave and felt it was better for his career to move on. Deep down he probably still feels like the club he loves never gave him a proper chance to be a part of it. It'll wear off soon.

Considering he a twenty and on his third club already he is either a: a mercenary, b: being manipulated by a cnut of an agent or c: someone with the patience of a child, any of which make him someone I've no time for or interest in from the point of having him at our club.

He's on his way to being one of the best. That said, he's the type of player - much like Zlatan, Anelka, and others - who is destined to hop from club to club every 3 years or so.

Or he is someone who is making smart career moves for himself. Moving to united as a child was in his best interest as we gave him a much better education and exposure than he would have gotten at Le Havre. He then moved to the Juventus, a club with as great a history as ours, but with better midfielders who promised him playing time. Looking at his decisions so far, I dont think one could disagree with any of them as they all helped his career.

He's hardly at his 3rd club to be fair. Juventus would be regarded as the club that he made it or started to excel as a football player. He'll always be known as a youth player at Utd...there's a difference.

Edit sorry it's from an old game, saw it on reddit today

Ignore :(

Obviously he didn't make a bad decision. He starts every game for Juve, one of the biggest clubs in the world, and is looking like he'll play for France in the World Cup as a starter. At what age? I wouldn't say he was badly advised at all.

But that we should want him back I am not sure about. Good player for sure, but come back to the club you left because you couldn't get a game in one of the premier leagues more average midfields? Can't see it myself.

Plus he has probably made a lot of money out of it as well - I would say he was actually advised very well indeed

Sadly I can see him making a lot more money and getting his own back for what he perceives as us snubbing him by moving to city :(

Worse still I think Pogba and Toure would be an amazing pairing as well :(:(

Nah, Pogba will go to PSG. He is one of the most promising young players in the world, a 20 year old who already starts for one of the biggest clubs in the world, who would be an immediate starter at PSG, who is a starter for the national team, who is French, from near Paris, has a bit of an attitude (in a positive way), performs spectacular flicks on the pitch and scores spectacular goals. Does not get any better than this for a club. He is the perfect poster boy for PSG.

Of course, with his agent you never know. He might want to engineer another transfer within a couple of years. But I think PSG can easily keep him happy with some nice contract extension signing fees or whatever.

Juventus completely mugged United with this guy. Amazing to think they snagged him for peanuts, are getting great performances from him and will sell him on eventually for a massive fee.

Kerching.

We've made good deals in recent times. Pogba and Barzagli almost for free, Llorente and Pirlo for free, Lichtsteiner, Vidal and Tevez for just over 10m€ each. That's a large part of our starting eleven.

Don't forget Marchisio as a youth product and Chiellini for peanuts in 2004. Sort of makes up for the fortune spent on Andrade, Tiago, Diego, Martinez, Melo, Krasic, Matri etc...

I really liked him... :(

And Juve has done brilliantly in the transfer Market, especially in the last few years.

Indeed, although like I said, we have had our shares of Fellaini, Hargreaves, Young and Buttner kind of transfers. It was about that time some transfers worked out.

How has he been for you, @JuveGER ? Looking at the stats, 11 goals in 23 appearances isn't incredible but hardly a bad return. Does he start most games?

I think his stats would look better if you take into account something like the last 10-15 games, he went from being a bench warmer to an important player for them.

Llorente struggled hard at the beginning and has confessed so. He had barely played at Bilbao in the last 12 months before his arrival in Turin and was not sharp. At Juve, he struggled under Conte's intense pre-season training and had a hard time to adjust to our game plan. Conte is a very intense guy with clear ideas. Llorente said that he had been low on energy and confidence. At the beginning he barely played, but he was slowly integrated into our team and when he regained some energy and confidence he quickly started to before better. He has been excellent the last 2-3 months. I think his scoring record suffers from a slow start, because I feel that he has been scoring a lot recently and he scored a lot of important goals (winning us points or scoring the opening goal of a match) including a goal each in both matches against Real Madrid in the CL.

Non of our strikers scored more than 10 goals in the last two season, so Llorente has already been better than that in half a season  But he also brought an additional dimension to or game. The guy is a beast and his hold-up play is excellent. Long story short, I think everyone is very happy with his impact for us.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has met with his Juventus counterpart Andrea Agnelli in a Paris hotel to discuss a potential move for Paul Pogba.

The Ligue 1 champions have long been linked with the France international as they aim to further strengthen their squad this summer and Al-Khelaifi has now sounded out Agnelli in a bid to test the water over a summer transfer.

Pogba has a contract with Juventus until the summer of 2016 and the Serie A giants are keen to extend the 20-year-old's stay at the club beyond the expiry date of his current deal.

The Europa League hopefuls are willing to offer the Frenchman a new contract until June 2018, worth €4.5 million per year.

However, even though Agnelli stated earlier this week that the powerful midfielder is untouchable, he has previously admitted that Juventus may be unable to hold on to Pogba if a big-money offer comes in and PSG are ready to test the club's resolve.

The former Manchester United man could be offered wages of up to nearly €9m-a-season with the Paris giants and Pogba could be tempted to push for a transfer if PSG step up their interest come the end of the current season.

Pogba will not be available on the cheap, but PSG could include either Ezequiel Lavezzi or Lucas Moura in the deal to soften Juve's demands.

The midfielder has made 34 appearances in all competitions for Juventus this term, scoring eight goals in the process.

I think PSG will win the Champions League before City do.

Unless of course FFP shows its teeth and tells PSG to feck off over the backdating of the QTA deal. Uefa's Club Financial Control Body might very well think of it as a Related Party Transaction unlike the club's auditors. If that happens the club will by all means be punished. Depending on the severity of those punishments PSG's chances to win the Champions League might very well decrease.

Lets hope so, I'm not holding my breath regarding Financial Fair Play.

Marca say that Real Madrid will go into the bidding against PSG and that with Madrid getting cold feet about Gundogan (due to his back injury) Pogba will become their primary target for the summer.

True/False? Who knows. Madrid in recent years have given up trying to stop leaks in favour of allowing so many leaks you can't always tell which ones are serious.

Pogba would certainly be a continuation of the Galactico policy of Florentino Perez. The Frenchman simply excels as an individual, whether or not Madrid will eventually succeed with this possibility remains to be seen. I for one hope Real will have to battle it out with Pep's Bayern.

It would be the clash of total team football against Galactico football of the best individuals surrounded by a lot of supporting actors.

I thought Real Madrid were targeting Vidal?
