Imagine if he turns into a top manager now
Honours
Premier League: 2012-13
FA Cup: 2015-16
UEFA Europa League: 2016-17
A few Community Shields in there as well.
The mans done more for the club than anyone of us sat behind our laptops/phones but yea his whole life is a sham. . .
Did he turn into the Duncan Edwards we were all led to believe he would? No but I doubt he’s wanted to be injured as much as he has been & the club hierarchy chose to pay the man.
A fitter, younger Jones sh*ya on our current CBs & has actually done something of note for the club at some point, a little respect for him wouldn’t go amiss.
Seems he is injured every transfer windowI think he'll move on in summer, the only reason he didn't last summer was the knee op he needed and has had since.
What’s honour got to do with it? He has his own future to look after and should milk his contract for every penny it is worth.
He’s been on 2-3 million a year for nearly 10 years. It’s not like he will be relying on soup kitchens if he takes a pay cut to play for the likes of West Brom or Middlesborough. He is entitled to stay and milk it for another 3 years but then he loses the right to any sympathy.
He doesn’t deserve abuse for sticking to the terms of a contract.
Abuse, may be not but, if he is frozen out and stays regardless, it would imply he has no self-respect. As it would in any other walk of life.
He was everything we're now looking for in a centre back - good in the air, strong, good on the ball (both passing and dribbling), decent pace too.
Could play DM and RB too.
What the feck happened.
He'll be like a new signing when he returns next season.

should have a statue of him outside...... the medical officeRealized the other day that if De Gea leaves in the summer I think that makes Jones the sole survivor of Fergie's last United squad. That's ....quite a feat.
I agree I think we will see him start a lot of games next season. He can cover CB, RB and I am sure he played CDM earlier in his career. Getting a Phil Jones back fit would solve quite a few problem positions in our squad and we wouldnt need to sign anyone.Wouldn't surprise me if Ole has him up and running soon. He obviously likes him and believes he can still play a part for us. Maybe SAF is behind some of it. We'll see. Fact is he's still only 28.
Thought the same thing, but as long as he's pulling in a paycheck it makes sense for him.Nothing personal against Phil, and he doesn’t deserve any of the abuse or mockery he receives but you have to wonder at what point he sits down and questions whether it’s all worth it, or if it is time to hang up his boots and move on.
As a professional footballer who Can’t play football and hasn’t done so for years, surely there is a point when you question if all the injuries are trying to tell you something.
Why dont we loan him to west ham?

I genuinely wonder what woodward/Glazers reaction is to stuff like this. like, does the penny not drop?Woodward's top blunder.

Moyes already knows about PJ.Why dont we loan him to west ham?
Absolutely.
A fit Jones is much better than any defender on our books...
