Their owners are feckin' wankers... Hope they get relegated next season.
They really don't know what they're doing, do they?
I thought that was just up to Shearer himselfBlackburn don't seem to like selling to us. Started with Shearer during the Jack Walker time at Rovers.

Easy to say, but they did get an extra 4mil out of us
The article on previous page seems to state the add ons were part of the clause

Phil Jones has declared himself ready for the "massive challenge" of breaking into the Manchester United side.
New England Under-21 captain Jones cannot wait to get started at Old Trafford and is confident he has not sacrificed first-team football by leaving Blackburn.
Jones, 19, last week completed his move to Sir Alex Ferguson's side for a fee reportedly in excess of £16.5million.
He will link up with his new team-mates, including international centre-back partner Chris Smalling, once he returns from holiday after England crashed out of the European Under-21 Championship on Sunday night.
Jones said: "I'm not sure when my first day is going to be. I have got to go home first, go on a few holidays and chill out for a little bit.
"Hopefully, I will get a call from the gaffer and I'm looking forward to that.
"Everyone knows they are one of the biggest clubs on the planet. It's a massive move for me and I just can't wait to get started. It's a massive challenge."
Jones will doubtless begin his Old Trafford career behind Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Smalling in the pecking order but he is unfazed by the prospect.
"Chris has shown that you can go in there and play games for United," Jones said of Smalling, who joined the Barclays Premier League champions a year ago.
"He has done extremely well.
"The gaffer has shown he is not afraid to put young faces in the team. When I get the chance I am confident I will take it."
The teenager is also unflustered about facing the famous Ferguson 'hairdryer', adding: "I'm ready for that."
Jones and Smalling's performances were one of few bright spots for England in Denmark during the past 10 days and the pair look set to be a long-term partnership for both club and country.
Jones said: "Chris is a fantastic player. I enjoy playing with him and we compliment each other well.
"Hopefully, we can do that in the future."
Jones was handed the England Under-21 captaincy for Sunday night's agonising defeat against Czech Republic after Michael Mancienne was dropped from the side.
Your luck you'd get a training week, be worked to death in the hot sun for hours, and go home where your WAG will demand you go out to some club or go buy her something when you just want a drink, a shag, and a nap, and are not particular about the order, and at the end of the week you'll find out she's been banging John Terry.

Though I agree with your general tone, and with the view that he has been bought and will be used mainly as a central defender, he was hardly used "sparingly" there for Blackburn, he made 24 starts last season - 18 as a CDM and 6 as a CB.
Posted these in the Modric thread, more suited to this one really.Yeah, a lot of people seem to have taken him as a regular at centre-back for them since his breakthrough because he's played there in a few high profile games - against us and city towards the tail-end of last season for example, and his debut against Chelsea as well, but Nelsen and Samba have been Blackburn's first-choice central-defensive partnership, with Givet playing there more than Jones as well.
However I would say that his position in "midfield" was extremely defensive - at times he was almost a third centre-back. Carrick played most of last season as a CDM for us and I would say Jones' average position was a fair bit deeper than that even, though he didn't hesitate to make runs forward.
However I would say that any suggestions that he's been signed as a midfielder are wide of the mark, unless Fergie is planning to play him in that same CDM role as he's played at Blackburn, and release Carrick up the pitch, more like the position he played in his first season with us.
Either way, I want Modric anyway.

Back home tomorrow after a nice break away with @KayaStar_ . Few days to chill before meeting up with the team on the 15th.
I think so coz he`ll miss the first pre-season friendly and then people will ask "Where`s Phil Jones?".Is that really deserving of a bump?

Any chance of him playing in the next game?
